Any tips on aftermarket rear indicators (to fit Evotech tail tidy)? LED or bulb type? If LED how and where to mount the resistors?
I've got integrated tail light by motodynamic, same as Martin's. tidy up the back end and look very cool but depends if you wanna go that route..... LED Tail Lights Integrated Sequential CBR-600RR CBR-1000RR CBR-250R F4 F4i Rucku - Motodynamic.com
If it were me I would change them for oxford eyeshot nano Then change the relay to one suited for led's.
Yep as mentioned above, motodynamics for me. Great quality and full of safety features, and really bright even in sunlight! But all depends on what look your looking for as its not for every one
I have already looked at the Motodynamic integrated taillights unit and I like it very much! But having considered potential problems with insurance / MOT / police / when travelling abroad I'm not 100% sure that that's the way to go. BTW - are external resistors needed to keep the flashing rate of the Motodynamic integrated indicators same as that of the front bulb type ones? Oxford Eyshot Nano - lovely tiny LED indicators but perhaps too small to be visible enough / potential problems with insurance. Anybody has LED indicators at the back and the standard bulb ones at the front? Is the flashing rate OK if the LEDs are wired with resistors? Or is it better to swap all of them for LED type and then use a new flasher relay?
Motodynamics one is just plug and play if using bulb fronts. Not had any issues with police or mot myself but worst case if your mot tester isn't keen you can unplug indicators and plug in normal ones (30 secs) But if your not too keen its alot of money to waste
Get someone to show you their nano eyeshots, Yes they are small but they are brighter and more Visable than the standard. Think there is a few Vids of them on youtube. Only when I seen them In the flesh flashing did I realise how good they Are but they are expensive. Also check out si's Micro ones, think he has a thread on them somewhere.
These look the dog bollocks, are they easy to install can you also show a picture of your tail tidy, if possible
Very easy install (plug and play) look better than the youtube videos Not the best pics but you get the idea
Anyone has these: Bike-It LED Torpedo Indicators - Demon Tweeks or these: TRIUMPH DAYTONA 675 ALLOY GLOSS BLACK LED INDICATORS TURN SIGNAL A9830047 | eBay
I have just fitted these and can highly recommend. Tiny indicators but huge flash as much as OEM or possibly more.
I think I'd prefer the Motodynamic sequential unit in conjunction with Eyeshot Nano's! You can't have two much safety where indicating is concerned! I wonder if it's possible?
Love the number of people asking questions with my comment quoted and Martin answering before I've even got to read them.......like having a pa And I can't see why you couldn't run both, only problem would be power but led are very low consumption. Think my brother runs both but not sure and if he is, not sure if he's done anything funky to make it work....
apart from worrying about mot (havent kept a bike long enough for an mot yet!) I dont like the combined units after this little mishap
