Stay safe and stay on it Remember your supposed to be an adopted part of the southern massive- should be "on It like a car bonnet" Ride safe mate and remember we'll be on face book under the disguised name of Dwight Fox, international property developer
Lol- thought my garage was going to be like the scene at the end of Blues brothers when the car falls apart, poor old girl took a real pasting. Think I may need some new brakes..........
bruce i hope this time all goes well and i hope u learn to ride a bit better and just a bit quicker for next time sick of waiting for ye bowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww ?
How are you boys coping now that you are all back.Anybody got aches hurting from riding for 4 days and all that mileage?I reckon I'd have been wrecked with probably a week to get over it.
No problems here mate. Honestly surprised that I'm not sore at all. It may be down to the fact that we had plenty of time to stop off plenty and have a break, without being rushed to get to the end location each day.
No it was easy ... After the first night of which I was not tired at all all I could hear was animal type noise which was grunts or heavy breathing so I thought fuck that ! A quick Charles Manson stare and a prediction that it wouldn't happen again seemed to do the trick and the bitch slept like a lamb.
Lee, the 2007 HRC blade I got from Tain (way north of Inverness, I would guess you blinked to miss it or just saw a blur) had an identical crack covered by an HRC sticker!
Well taken me all day to recover from this one would just like to say a big thanks to every one for making this such a memorable trip big thanks to Alan and Colin. And Garyb for the great write ups Steve for the great twisters on the way home Thanks to Jimbo Dave and Lee for a great trip up there and a few laughs on the way Can't wait for part 2
Was thinking today how soon the trip was over - when dates are announced for the bike show at the NEC in November we should set one of the days to meet up - guess a Saturday is only day that would work and like any event bound to be some who could not make it. Just an idea and I know much talk of Oulton Park for the Beoowwwwwppppppppppp gang to mix it on track!
Chatted to Jimbo and Dave about Oulton Al and they said they'd try to make July 31st when myself, Andy, Jason and Gary are booked on with a view to doing a return leg at Brands Hatch sometime.
Spent the day fiddlng with the bike, stripping bits off to clean and removing the old venture shield, I'm lucky, it's still like new underneath. Just ordered some new brakes for when I change my tyres this week as I wasted those too. Just been through some of the vids. I can't seem to get on to Vimeo, so I've chucked this up on YouTube. It's the last lap at Knockhill from the @rse of my bike (shame I was at the back though).
Going to definitely try to make it mate, after seeing you work your magic on home roads can't wait to see in action on a track you know. Top ride home btw, although I can still see that disco coming towards me!
