It's that time of year again, I go to the BMF remember how crap it actually is and vow never to go again! So I'm off to the BMF this Saturday, is anyone else going?
as I live only a few miles away from the showground ill be popping down on the sunday, like you to remember how crap and over priced it is
Having been to the BMF at Shepton Mallet and the year at Lincoln I still remember how unimpressed I was and so will be trying to do a bike ride instead. Hopefully most others will have forgotten since last year and the roads will be empty
We will most probably bob over at some point; will check the weather forecast first before deciding which day.
I am the firms in house motorcycle crash investigator and expert. I am the point of contact for riders needing help, I investigate liability, advise on motorcycle law and the dynamics of riding. I work with and give presentations to motorcycle clubs, groups and organisations and get involved in anything else relating to motorcycles. I am also part of the central management team.
Sounds like an interesting job TC, beats my 8x12 office for 50 hour per week I'm at the show Saturday keep the kettle boiled
Best laid plans of mice and men Carl. I hope you hadn't dusted off the Sunday best crockery on my account. PM by way of apology sent Carl
The BMF is going to be out for me, this man flu feels like it’s turned into pneumonia, best I can manage will be curling up on the sofa being waited on hand and foot and the French Moto GP.
Diary note, can everyone remind me next year that its crap and not to go. I do indeed say the same every year and I'm so frustrated with myself
Carl you know this type of thing is for ''The Urban Warrior'' type and unless you have a beard and ponytail you just wont get it!.Get that 18 quid in the tank next time or better still send it to me .
Thanks for the update Carl. That makes me feel a whole lot better, even though the pneumonia seems to have turned into a case of black death seeing as I managed to fall asleep during the last few laps of the Moto GP !!....Now then, what am I going to spend the £36 quid on that I have saved on two tickets? Max Strength cold and flu tablets I guess.
I spoke to a number of people in the trade over the past couple of days, and all were of the opinion that turnout was probably the lowest it has been for a number of years. One of the food stands opposite us reckoned that on Saturday they were over £800 down on the same day last year. Traffic past us was sparodic. Quite steady on Saturday, but on Sunday when the weather was much better it was quiet until about 11 picked up and was dead by 2. Highlight for me though was a trade stand just around the corner from us who got raided by Trading Standards. All stock was seized, stall holder arrested and stand closed down.
Hi TC what was the stall selling, we came across a number of Alpine Star products that looked inferior and new RST track pants at £80 which was just too cheap to be original?
The one that was down from us was selling number plates, badges and logos. There was another stand caught for selling counterfeit clothing, but I don't know what brand they were trying to fake.
