Contacted the guys that look after my bike, they have completed the 4000 and the 8000 mile services for me in the past at reasonable prices. The guy was a complete c&£k didn't know what service was what? Normally they are really good. The quote was £37 for the mot and £180 for the 12000 mile service,thinking that they were ok I booked it in. Speaking to a mate and he said try Vernons in Portsmouth, curiosity got the better of me so I did.£29 for the mot £65 for the service WTF?? it would appear that loyalty means nothing! Shop around people!!!
£29 is correct for the MOT, but £65 for a service surely cannot include oil, filter and air filter and labour? I may be wrong, but as the schedule only calls for oil and filter at 8k intervals, make sure what they are quoting for.
My Honda dealer just completed a 12K on my RRA +MOT , Oil, Filter, Air Filter, MOT+ Labour, £159 inc VAT.
This was a service at 50k miles, last visit to a dealer was a 4k Valve clearance check a huge chunk of that Fit and setup HM QS New Pads and fluid clean air filter Dyno test General check over Oil and filter change £200 was VAT Be interested what Honda charge for valve clearance check alone
Ok got the service competed, £107.65. Included mot and oil and filter! A little worrying that the guy thought that the way it turns over before it starts was quite slow like the battery was tired,he wasn't trying to sell me a battery or anything, I was told by the Honda guy that this is normal? Is this normal ?
