Prices look pretty much identical - guess huge difference is you can view the one in Reading in person, other from a trusted Honda dealer but miles from you. Happy to look over it and take a few snaps - they sell / fit loads of R&G stuff so its a case of doing a deal with them over the phone for a 'delivered including XYZ package'

Oh no, definitely not! If you're still happy to look for me, I'd really appreciate it! It was just a more general observation that there's not a lot out there and I might end up having to play the waiting game, or look at something else. Of course, the HRC at Hunts might be brilliant!
Hunts dont sell poor bikes. Being serious I have never seen anything there that looks like a dog. They are no.2 Honda UK bike dealer by volume of new reg but no.1 in UK if you take out scooters etc. And def biggest blade seller.
The damaged one does look like its was dropped at zero speed. I'd be more wary of owners hiding things like this but with this at least you know, but I can see why this would put you off. It is well priced though 2008s go for more money, but do consider the next service (16K) can be a biggy. If you want a second pair of eyes be happy to go see the one in Datchet with you, it's only the next village from me.
Thew hunts one is in good condition - its not been through the valet bay yet so not fair to comment but the main things like tank cover / fairings were all in good condition Will send PM with more details later but they will put a deal together with any parts you want like tail tidy / hugger and delivery and wrap it up into a single price - def some haggle option there but will leave that up to you!
Don't discount a new one Sos! I bought mine on this deal which is still running. Used Honda CBR cbr1000RR For Sale in Castleford, West Yorkshire £4K deposit and three years Zero % on the rest, it works out at around £40 a week and you end up with a brand new 2012 Bike on a 13 Plate with a 2 year warranty and that was for an ABS model. Non ABS bikes can be had for less than £10K now, so buying used at a few grand less just doesn't make sense in my book!
Well, looks like I might have found my new Fireblade Just put a £100 holding deposit on a 2009 HRC at my local Honda dealer. Described as 'immaculate' and totally standard, unmolested. I can't go and see it today, but will be going to look at it after work on Monday or Tuesday! S
