That, young man, is because Krieganauts are booked into incredibly glamorous hotels full of beautiful, exotic people. While you Ventura types are flailing around in muddy fields with canvas and paraffin I'm in a dinner jacket stuffing my pockets with Ferrero Rocher.

Taken your advise - And thanks
I've returned a Spada & had a Delta sent to keep the bulk off of the rear end.
Me & the good lady enjoyed a small trial run trip to North Devon at the weekend, before the Euro run in June, and we lived off of 1 x full Spada bag. It was full (off her toiletries) and sat as though it wasn't even there.

Brill weekend, brill advice & brill luggage

    omg! Noooo!!!!

Get some Kriega, man! Think of the team! We've got a certain image to keep up amongst motorcyclists. They look to us as leaders and style icons.

    Lol Lambeth!
Decision made, pennies spent, all tried & tested!
Damn, I even started a new post for advice!

I've heard rumours that some Venturions have reverted to Kriegian conversions!

Both very good kits, but i've just never ever seen Kreiga folk carry half the stuff I have managed to in Ventura - laptop, power supply external hard drive, goPro, camera etc. etc.

It must of been you rifling my luggage whilst I took a wee stop at Morrisons in Bideford, you've named all items packed in great detail.
One exception, said luggage containing her ladies toiletries. Complaining the douche kit was missing....
Bravely I replied 'Stop complaining" (reckon she was full of sh1t!!)
Have I lost direction on this post? Sorry!
(put the red wine down & go to bed now....

I have just been to Le Mans and used a Kriega US20 + US10 and they were excellent.
You can get so much gear in them and everything was kept really dry.
Excellent choice, well done me (oh and the other kind people on here who advised me)

With the right rack you can strap on up to 90 litres of Kreiga gear.

This is a 50 litre set up (1 x US 30 + 2 x US 10's) but in hind sight I should have bought a US 20 instead of one of the 10's

So to carry 50 litres you need to spend loads on 3 bags and also buy a rack and attach it all to it.

Ventura 50 litre bag and 2 clicks and its done.

That looks like a proper tourer now! How are you getting on with the GIVI tank bag? Mine gets in the way too much, but I've reversed the bag on the mounting which moves it further forward - just need to give it a road test now. Ian.

you still have to buy a rack and your 1no bag isnt cheap ;) its also totally unflexible in terms of combinations and reduced bag size and looks pony!!! ;)

dont diss the kreiga al lol

on a serious note a cost comparison for both would be handy...

looks like it could do with being moved foward SW, although does it then clash with the sat nav??

Ian - i find it weird for a day, then totally forget it's there....

When I first fitted the Givi bag it was too close to me on standard settings so I moved to max forward extension.
As Jimbo observes well, it then obscured the Sat Nav too much so I adjusted it back one setting which is now spot on for Sat Nav viewing and still doesn't stick in to my stomach when riding.

The Tank Bag was absolutely invaluable on Tour for storing my Phone, Camera, Wallet, Passport, small Toolkit, Chain Lube, Baby wipes for Visor cleaning, Lint free cloth, loose change for Tolls, Parking Tickets exiting underground Hotel car-parks etc etc etc
Yes, all that fitted in with ease along with my summer gloves, as for the most part I used the Gortex gloves due to the weather.

As for Costs, the Givi Tank Bag plus fitting ring was £97
The 50 litres of Kreiga was £205
    The Renntec rack was £67

    Total Touring setup was £369

Yes that's more than the Ventura but it's far more flexible, the Rack/Grabrail is far better and the most important bit for vain feckers like Moi it looks far superior to the Portaloo that is the Ventura!

The Kreiga is rock solid at 174mph...............................allegedly! ;)

I'll make one concession to the Ventura though it's far easier and quicker to remove and mount on the Bike when staying at different Hotels every night which is a plus point having fought with threading Kreiga straps around the rack etc in a dark underground car park or two!

    ......................anyone want to swap a US10 for a US20? :D

It's the 'click, click everytrip' ease of ventura....

That said I have to admit being waterproof is a huge bonus of kreiga...

Great post sinewave. But taking out the tank bag which you obviously don't get in with the Ventura your whole system comes in at £270 quid.

The Ventura is £277 with all components required!

    Pack rack £52
    L brackets £105
    Aero bag £112
    Postage £8 ;)

Kreiga is cheaper, more flexible, looks cool and waterproof.

    Nuff said. ;)

    Good Spot Jimbo!

I'd totally missed the fact I'd included the Givi Tank Bag in the comparison costs! :p

...............having said that, anyone going on Tour would be mad not to have a small Tank Bag like the Givi, tiz invaluable IMHO!

I do that shite for a living lol

Indeed, got the same bag, don't notice it's there, in Scotland it had :

    Phone
    Wallet
    House keys
    Paperwork
    Spare key
    Change
    Clear visor
    Map
    Gorilla pod
    Camera
    Spare gloves

Think that's it, if I remember more ill let you know ;)

Just so handy to click off and carry EVERYTHING you need in one easy small bag
