Volunteers are required to assist in the marshalling of the prestigious Manx grand Prix. The organising club (the Manx Motor Cycle Club) have contracted the British Army Motorsports Association requesting assistance for the event. 50 volunteer marshals are required over the period 27 August 2013 - 1 September 2013

Mr Jim Hunter representing the club said:

The club is able to offer a free return ferry passage for any Army Personnel who would be good enough to consider supporting our races. In addition we are able to offer accommodation (free of charge) thanks to the support of our local Army Cadets. We would also hope to be able to provide transport (at least one minibus) to allow Army Personnel to travel from their accommodation to their allocated position on the course

Intrested? more info on Armynet, link; https://www.armynet.mod.uk/club/navigate2.php?pageID=90139

I'm an ACU qualified road race marshall... but I'm not in the army.

I'd do it if ferry crossing and accomodation was provided lol. Surely they would rather have ACU trained people :-D

I'm in the army but..........I'm also in Afghan doh!

I've also marshalled for a few army enduro events in my time. I'd have been in the IOM this year any way, maybe next year (I hope) and I might get a few of the lads together for it :)
