My racetech warmers have just come through the post and they are massive! Laid them out on the floor and there is no way they just cover a 17" wheel, they are so long maybe a tractor wheel is more accurate. Has anyone else got these? Can't get bike out atm to try em on!

Poor guy.... they've just arrived at his door that's the last thing he's gonna want to hear!!

I have two friends with racetechs who have never had any issues so fingers crossed from a good batch ;)

they may look bigger, but dont forget they need to overlap the tyre a bit.

they will be fine dont worry.

1/2 a metre?? you sure, that is a very big over lap.

the over lap should only be about 6" tops.

Andy's Racetecs burnt though at Oulton Park, he just caught them in time to save the tyre.

To be fair to ractecs i think the melt down was my fault ! And this is a warning for all ...........
Warmers where on for the last session of the day which was red flagged as some one had fell off on first corner, anyway long story short I rolled up the tyre warmers whilst they where still warm which can cause a bit of overheating in the centre of the roll !! So next trackday rolled em on the tyre without looking inside of warmers, until the distinct smell of melting rubber made me pull em off. They where fcuked
Tbh I didnt buy them again coz the tie cords are a pain When fitting,Elastic edges are much easier to use.

Popped round for a beer (he'd had a few) and tried one on in his garage and yeah approx 8-12" overlap. Don't take advice from a drunk...... :D

To be fair I couldn't even get them back on later after a few myself so I would say zero overlap by my reckoning ;)
