Hi Jim, The Sportsmart I have on my bike has done 4.5k so far altho the rear is just about done! It's not seriously squared off or anything but it has just a couple of mm left so they might even do till next year But I was thinkin is the R1 not harder on tyres compared to the Blade? Different suspension also perhaps more aggressive rake & trial? Just a thot mate
Jim, if you still have your receipt and the application booklet you have till the 15th June 2013 to send in the forms! The 31st of may is the closing date of the deal so tyres bought after then won't be eligible for the fuel voucher. Here's a link to the application booklet if u have lost it. http://perfect-road.michelin.co.uk/content/download/1401/15019/file/Perfect%20Road%20Leaflet%20UK%20EditionV2.pdf
I will get it checked out mate. And must admit, in not one for checking mpg, or ever recording tyre mileage, but I'm pretty sure the blade was consistent with the r1... Maybe in just harder on rubber than I thought
No not that cheap, which is why my bike Is parked up atm.....need another rear and I only put one On in jan
Seriously dude, you should ride In the tt against big John! I'm ok but ride with a few others that are quicker than me and I've never seen anyone do a front road tyre like you do- sure your clocks are connected?
If I had the cash I would be racing tomorrow. the problem is the the guys I run with are very fast riders so when we go out together we are all sending it on a bit.we always say okay take it easy today lads and within a couple of miles its red lines constantly.also dosent help when you are all seeing who is last on the brakes, that soon chews up a tyre. going to try the pilot sport 3's next to see what they are like
Phantom does your mates miby have a spare set of keys to your garage? they could be swapin wheels over so you keep em going on tyres? Using the word "mates" fairly loosely here!
would be a handy swap as a few ride newer blades too lol used to hate when they planned runs when I had the 848, they would deliberately stick to wider faster roads so the 848 would top out and they would disappear into the distance, they are nice like that lol
I thought everyone used that phrase, we all do here anyway. yeah the power 3's. the pures are the best tyre I have used but they wear out just a bit too quick for me,they are nearly as bad as power one's.
Was chuffed today as I sqeesed an extra 200 miles From my tyre before it was officially shagged. I could have sworn I had a pilot pure on the front And rear but I have a pure in the front and a power 2ct On the rear, dont know how the hell I managed that. On another note because most were at work I hardly Met a single car along the coast....bikers paradise
youll have to let us know what roads you ride on - they should be nice n grippy with all that rubber youve put down lol
Its the antrim coast the main route is only 50 odd miles But its knee down every corner and you can sit easily In three figures for most of it.what hits the tyres the most Is when you have guys out on blades, R1's and zx10's and They are having mini drag races at every opportunity The tyres chew up a good bit.but then im cheating as I have The power commander and it does make a big difference Over The sstock blades in the group.
