So i bought a gear indicator the other day and dont have a clue how to wire it in. I know it needs to go to ignition power and connect to speedo line and rpm line. Can anyone explain how to?, colour of the wires?, and just a general how to lol. Thanks

Basically you will need to splice the Gear Indicator into the loom to get the feeds you need. What year blade do you have? If it's 04-07 I can use the Haynes manual to let you know the wire colours you need if you can let me know what feeds it needs ie Speedo line, rev line.

If you can get a refund the best option may be to go for one you can plug into the diagnostic socket. More expensive but much easier. I'm saving my pennies for a GI Pro

I agree, I already had an Acumen from a previous bike and they do not do a plug in lead for the new Blade, my bike was only two days old when I removed the nose cone split the wiring loom and soldered in my Gear indicator. It’s not a difficult job but if you don't have to then avoid it.

Got to get one of these mate. Is that all that needs to be done? Just plug it in and no programming or sitting on a paddock stand revin' it's balls off?

As far as I know you still need to train them so they know the gears. That's definitely the case with the RR7, but I'm not sure about newer blades.

GIpro DS does need programming on 1st installation on a Blade but anyone who's done it will know how easy it is, some Suzukis & Kawasakis are pre programmed.

I think there's a wiring diagram in the service manual in case that helps
