    Hi guys,

Met a chap today while frequenting the local Ducati dealership who was making a mould off the rear tail unit and hugger off the new Kwaka 636.

I got talking to him and he mentioned that he had made a custom rear hugger to fit the ABS Blade.

He can make them in real Carbon / a colour matched one for your bike for under £100.

Will post his contact details later for those who are interested.

From the huggers and seat units he was fitting to the Kwakas you'd be hard pressed to distinguish between oem & after market.

my Honda Repsol Hugger has been fitted my to my ABS blade with a small washer to lift the hugger over the ABS wire and is working great

but seems a good idea if enough people want it

The worry was it was to close to the ABS unit under the seat do you see any threat to it, as i have a chance of getting a genuine honda one

I fitted an OEM Hugger to my 12 ABS and it has caught the ABS box a few times and left 2 black marks and some minor crazing to the finnish.

Wazzed the preload up 3 clicks from my recent KAIS Sussie setup ( ) and it seems to have been OK since.

You've got no chance if you carry a Pillion though.

Overall I'm happy as the OEM is miles better looking than any of the aftermarket offerings I've seen to date.

Honda (or your mate OP) could easily make the OEM design work just be designing in two scallops where the ABS box edges line up, there is stax of clearance between the underside of the Hugger and the Tyre so this could be easily manufactured if Honda could be arsed but 5 years after the ABS launch they still haven't! :(
