Hey Nutty. Perhaps you should be a moderator too.LOL.

I'm a bit embarrassed to show mine after the gore fest we've been enjoying. It's a spiral fracture of the right Fibula, done on a mountain bike while stationary on the tow path of the canal. Long story short. The bike fell to the right, I tried to balance it to the left, over balanced. and my right foot stuck to the Gator Grip. The crossbar of the bike became a fulcrum against my right thigh and Pop! Literally. It sounded like a fuse blowing in the next room. The break extended 6" down into the joint, the tendons under the foot got damaged from the rotational force and the sharp edge of the break cut into the muscle. The hospital scared the shit out of me by telling me that there was a danger of released bone marrow from the break forming a blood clot.

The damage was compounded by me believing it was a bad sprain and cycling 2 miles home, where Mrs Ken, seeing me covered in mud insisted that I strip off on the drive before letting me in the house.

All fixed now, but some things still prove difficult. When I'm tired I start to limp a little and walking upstairs isn't quite right as the callus on the line of the break interferes with the rotation of the joint.

I had a knee pinned after another stationary accident many, many years ago. It's amazing how dangerous I am just standing still. Broke my right shoulder at speed once but I have, touch wood, bounced every other time.

Great groove you've got there Nutty. I bet that comes in handy for carrying scaffolding poles, eh?

Mmmm. What part of 'don't just download them from the internet' is the complicated part to understand.

Matt, I think you're that last person who needs to cheat anyway. LOL

Holy Cr@p, you lot have had some serious injuries! (Not wanting to tempt fate) I've done alright by comparison. Only 'big' off I had, I knocked myself out when I hit the tarmac, skittled down the road & then had bad concussion for a day & some bruising (I was doing 80mph, car took me out, I supermaned it & then slid 50 or 60 feet).

All I've done is - broke 4 fingers playing basket ball, broke an ankle playing football in the playground, broke my scaphoid falling off a BMX, and have broken my right big toe twice on the radiator by my bed (both toe breaks within 6 weeks of each other).

Clearly not good enough to be a Mod.

So is part of Rob's selection process for moderators, to pick people with such an interesting medical history, they don't qualify for the 1000rr.co.uk BUPA plan ;) ?

Don't jinx your good fortune mate. My leg looks like a road map of Italy and come the winter it can take me a couple of goes to get up.

Like the good doctor Jones once said 'It ain't the years, it's the mileage'.

agreed. Until 3 years ago I only broke a few ribs and my hand. then come the leg issues of late.

Long story with min. I went on mini motos and loved it. 6 months later still having issues with my hip that I did not have before the mini motos and found out I fractured these bone growths that should have nto been their.

Yep, got me one of those, had to have a bone graft from my hip to get the collar bone to heal. Had the metal taken out after a year, so now have a souvenir. Interesting to see all the bits of bone still on the screws lol.

I broke my right ankle when 13 off a MX bike. Had a bad off then a few years later where I damaged my lower back and tore some tendents in my upper back and lower neck. Dislocated my right shoulder, chipped a bone in my hip and got a major concusion with some memory loss but most of that not a bad thing.
Broke a toe,Left wrist socket but never went back to the hospital they wanted to rebrake it to have it set correct. But no no once was enough.
And the worst of he lot was standing on a wheel brace and the ******* thing broke as I was bouncing on it. The right leg buckled out backwards removing my kneecap from it home ripped all the tendents and nerves from the knee and was left on sticks for near 5 months. Now have a permanent limp and the cold weathe is a pain in near every bone in my body.
But fuck it I still won't stop riding bikes.
