ABS has helped me once on my Blade. saved me ££££ so worth it from my point of view.

Bikers seem to have a issue with new tech on bikes where as car drivers, as we also mainly are don't

    strange that

    and

Bullsh*t, more like data that will tell when you have been naughty
and then your insurance will be based on this. then it will be automatic
throttle adjustments in the name of emissions...give it time and owning
a bike will be pointless as it will be fully controlled in the name of health and safety.

    Not on all Bikes!

The PB test of the RSV4 v the HP4 could not have praised the BMW's Tech suspension and motor more without Jizzin all over it! :D

110% spot on Phantom, nothing these faceless morons do is ever as straightforward as it seems, there is always an underlying agenda designed to give control of the masses to the privileged few.

They may be able to collect the data but they still have to retrieve it from the bike. Unless they make it part if the MOT I suspect most people will tell them to do one. If they did they you would be able to put a request in to get a copy of the data they hold, can't imagine many MOT stations being able to cope with that. Anyway I doubt it would be to long before someone found a way to erase/sanitise the data.

Despite the issues ive had with my ABS i dont have much issue with it.
    although...
I do think that the consumer should have the end choice, when the addition of an item causes a major change to the upkeep/servicing of the bike.
I am dreading having to have my brakes bled via a dealers hich service charges, where as for the last 20 years I have bled my own brakes!
thats my issue with this mandatory abs, dealers are goinf to love it home mechanics are going to hate it.
It will help push motorcycles into the rich people play things category instead of everyday transport..thats a shame imo
    :)

Tinfoil won't save you.sure the local radio is already running adverts
To fit trackers for cheaper insurance. Im telling you its only a
Matter of time before bikes are restricted beyond use or use
Volvo's autopilot software. Do you think the government will
Let us continually have the highest fatality rate over all road users.

I couldn't agree more. Very slowly but very surely, they are eroding away freedoms like this.

Can't see it happening for quite a few years yet. If they did then I can see it being like the time the changed the moped rules in the 70s/80s and people bought old ones to get round it. Of course eventually all the old ones get broken etc but it will take quite a while, and as long as they hold off for 20ish years I will be fine ;)
