Been grafting like a twat today. Harder even than being at work. Kept looking in the back of the garage and listening to the buzz of the Optimate and just felt guilty. I reckon keep off the beer tonight and get up and out at stupid 'o clock in the morning, wazz down through the south hams before the grockles are up.

I went and got new tyres. Got home and read the article in PB about tyres. The M5 came out on top. Not that I set massive store by the press, but anyway.

As a bonus the tyres make me attractive to women and my hair is soft, bouncy and in soft focus.

At least the soft focus will stop the glass cracking...

That's harsh, Ken. You've hurt my feelings.

What tyres is it on, shipmate? And do they make your hair soft and bouncy?

Serves you right. My missus keeps on "How's Alex?" "Have you spoken to Alex recently". I was on the phone to Lucy the other night and she said "what's Alex been up to recently". You're a bloody tease, man. I daren't tell them you're sporting a new pair of M5s, they'll both have pelvic floor failures!

Dunlop Sportsmarts. I don't have enough hair for it to be soft and bouncy :p

Got up today after a nice lie in until ten am, (long week at work with multiple breaches of the euro working time directive) to find a note from the wife saying she'd left me......to go shopping with her friend and that I might as well go out on the bike as it was going to be a lovely day.

Bike still filthy from trip over to Ireland a forthright ago, so spent an hour cleaning her and lubing everything, then a run over Clitheroe to meet a couple of mates then down to Rivington barn for a brew. Then a run over the top of the Pennines past the reservoirs on the A640 in brilliant sunshine, magic.

Bike needs cleaning again though :(

It's true. They don't have all the sipes and stuff. Apparently they're good in the wet too though.

I haven't tried them in the wet as it got quite sunny after I fitted them - another of their advantages!
