I know this isn't no needle work club and I am not sure that I have posted this in the right place but I have broken the zip on the jacket of my leathers....
I really wouldn't know where to go to get a new one sewn on. I love my leathers and they fit so nice that I would hate to buy some new ones just for the sake of a zip.
I live near Huntingdon Cambrigeshire so any suggestions would be a great help coz I haven't a clue.
Strange request no doubt but thanks any way you guys.

I went to these guys once when a couple of seams needed repairing on my Dainese suit. Really nice people, just a husband and wife that work from home as far as I could tell. A straight blast down the A10 for you as well. They managed to do a perfect job while I waited, highly recommended:

Out of curiousity, it's not the puller on your zip that has broken is it? Mine did on both of my Sidi boots, and the front zip of my suit. Easily fixed with keyring hoops if it is!!

Welcome mate. I actually think the reliable old keyring hoop does a better job of it than the original pullers these days - far easier to tug on it or get a finger through it and get everything nice and tight!

I got these to fix a busted zip puller.

Simple idea it's a paper clip item that's got a plastic handle piece that clips round the clip so you have something to grip with your fingers. Looks neater than key ring hoops too!

I have broken my zip tag off but its the little 'n' shaped bar that holds the tag on that's broken!
    Any ideas?

If any of you snap the pulls off the leathers then these work well. More sturdy than the standard items generally.

    They just clip on.

They're a well-made piece of kit. Bought a pack of them before when I snapped three of the pulls off my old Dainese two-piece.

also found they are a perfect fit for honda left hero blobs at traffic lights!

local place near me wanted £60 to fit a zip-together zip on my jacket.... it has the thin zip and i wanted to double up with a chunky one so ive got the choice of what pants i wear and vice versa....
ended up buying a sewing kit from poundland and did it myself :D
probably not as neat as a pro job but it works :D

Or paracord or a cable tie!

I've noticed a lot more rucksacks etc using paracord. Agreed, original pullers are irritating.
