They feel incredibly soft compared to the pr3's. Hope they last, cos they're single compound. And one of my regular routes requires a run down the M3 before swinging off at the a303. The rear pr3 was so squared in the end. I did a lot of tedious riding with them. Mind you, even commuting and motorways on a Fireblade are fun!
had a run down to lands end with the old man today as there was a vmcc meet there some real nice old british stuff out and about rode back with them some nice sounds but alittle too gentile for my taste
Down to Swanage across (on the ferry) to Poole - Bournemouth - Ringwood - Salisbury stopping off at Stonehenge - Yeovil - Home 282 miles and a sore arse
Well, myself and Givover took ourselves off to Whitehaven for the day. Perfect weather, if a tad chilly, and near perfect roads. At a time when the whole forum seems to be a little paranoid about plod we didn't see any! Roads were in excellent condition and if it wasn't for riding on the left hand side we could have thought we were abroad! Will definitely be arranging a Northern lads rideout up there soon!
Cheers fella... Might take you up on that! Loved our rides to and from Scotland, certainly want to spend a bit of time up your way as haven't done any until then, and the roads were blinding!! Would be a good time to do it... I'll keep you posted!
Washed the bike for the first time in several weeks, it was mullered. Then popped out just to dry the brakes off, then noticed it was a nice evening, and 2 hours later the bloody thing was covered in dead insects, waste of time cleaning it I guess.
Stunning first pic, The! Those hedgerows are gorgeous. Master Longshanks, Longshanks the dog and I walked from Horton in Ribblesdale to Hawes last week and it chucked down on is virtually every step. The only bright point was seeing a yellow Fireblade and a red Fireblade escorting an RSV out of Hawes.
Did my Enhanced Rider assesment, hopefully get a bit cheaper insurance from it. Rode around Notts, South Yorks and North Lincs. Saw a few marked plod cars and a couple of bikes who seemed to be doing Bike Safe type rides. Gorgeous day to be out on a bike.
Went out yesterday in the kit car. mate came alone with his Lotus S2 and 2 mates who have not been riding long. which showed as I had to keep waiting for them once or twice lol, Had a lovely 180 mile round trip to Elan Valley and back
Just got back from a nice ride out whilst the rest of the world are at work - there are advantages to working anti-social hours! Lovely sunny day and really enjoyed it. Starting to get a feel for the Blade now, really, really love it. As they say "believe the hype". S
I'm avoiding the bike today. I got pulled over by the police yesterday. They didn't like an overtake I did. Too aggressive and speeding slightly afterwards. The police were fine though. I just dealt with them straight, didn't lie, didn't get narky. They just gave me a little talking to and then sent me on my way. No mention made of the illegal exhaust, numberplate or visor.
Lucky you Rich, they're clamping down in the North East now. Visor you don't have to worry about and exhaust needs to be stamped before they'll start getting funny with you, unless they're a vehicle examiner. Surprised they let the plate go mind!!! Get back out on the bike, it's a lovely day lol
I got that feeling out yesterday. I think Cleveland police seem to like me. I've been yanked over a couple of times not always on the bike but have always been let go with a talking to. I think those that have trouble are the ones who try arguing, lying, anger, insults, etc when dealing with them. I never see the point. I was breaking the law, I knew it. They're just doing their job. No need to get unnecessary. Just own up, speak clearly, don't try to hide anything and keep it cordial. The plate's only slightly smaller. Not pishtake ridiculous They'd performed a vehicle check by the time I got my helmet off so it's obviously easily-readable
