I'm kinda curious about people's constant search to wring more power out of their blades. As far as I'm concerned the bikes already have more than you'd ever need for riding on the road. For track work I guess I can understand it but why do people feel like they need more?
Why does any one of us ever want more than food, water, warmth & shelter? They are, after all, the only things that we need. Everything else is just the result of wants & desires. I can't understand why some people want a 52" plasma television and/or a games console, but hey, a hell of a lot of people want/have one!
I went for +2 on rear to give me more entertainment.Especially at the front end It also helps if you can ride well. All this power is f*ck all if you are not confident at riding it.
I found that, after actually learning how to ride it, sorting the suspension out made me way quicker than anything else.
I was disappointed with the acceleration of the blade In standard format so thats why I wanted more power.... Acceleration equals adrenaline. .....I like adrenaline .
Funny I was only thinking this tother day. Top speed is irrelevant to me so I'd like more acceleration! I'd quite like the Bike to power wheelie in the first three gears easily, at the mo that's only possible in first. Whats the best sprocket combo for this juvenile act I desire?
I have stock gearing but am running the power commander and it now sends the wheel skyward in the first four gears when you send it on a bit.
Is that straight off the throttle then mate? No cheatin with Clutch dips or hard throttle offs then snapping open back again? I just want to be able to wind it on and for it to reach skywards!
you can roll off and on the throttle at a ton and wheelie easy which it definitely wouldnt do before fitting the PC
Does anyone whose fitted a Quick action throttle find it OK when just tootling/touring? TBH my standard throttle has caught me out a few times on low speed bumps etc and I've inadvertently given myself a dollop of throttle when I leased wanted it! Fitting a 1/4 turn jobbie can only makes this potential problem worse I'd have thought?
A mate of mine glued a zip tie onto the throttle cam. I'm not sure how much it has reduced the turn to W.O.T but you can can about go to full without having to position your grip
I have one on my blade (quick shift throttle) and its the best mod I've ever done. Power is right there and are wheelie are to. Less movement no wrist aches
I find a lot of wrist ache on both wrists with the blade So I thought about a quick action throttle too.
