Marty I can't remember but do they supply the leathers? Mine are in Italy with Dainese for repairs so maybe won't have them for 2-4wks....
Dunno - its a looooong way to go for it and I'm not keen on Donnington (Silverstone was my fave track). But - for the sake of argument .... can you ask how much it would be for the Elite 'experience'? (I did the premiere last year, so I qualify for the Fireblades)
I'm interested but will be provisional due to ongoing work commitments. I'll keep an eye on this thread to see what date you end up with. re: Trackday vs Track School, I did a TD before I did CSS L1 and although the TD was good and could explore the capabilities of the bike a bit more, it was night and day with a track school and proper track tuition. IMO, it's best to do a school first so you can get the most out of future TDs.
That's exactly what I'm Hoping to get out of it Moily plus I'm hoping I can get some benefit in my road riding also The list is all provisional at the mo so will add you on. Martinowen (me) Martinowen's brother barstewardsquad Chinny Stu JamieHRC Jokeshopbeard Navvy10 Navvy10's brother Moily
Oh it'll definitely help with your road-riding! Learning exactly what your bike can do and how to corner properly is one of the best things you can do to become smoother and safer. I could see a vast improvement in my riding as I happened to do Route Napoleon and surrounding roads before and after doing CSS. Even my better half on pillion both times noticed the improvement!
A screen shot from a you tube vid, I don't care if I end up paying the full 289 if I get improvements like this

I read the debate on this thread yesterday and the jury was out with whether i thought bike hire was best or not, and i must admit to having some thoughts about buying a cheap track bike in the future, but I took a ride out to Cadwell today who had a CSS day happening, but saw some poor fella who had binned his '13 plate 600RR after the front end wiped out and the bike flipped. To add to that he was 150 miles from home and had to walk back to Louth to get his stuff. So i have to back martin up here and agree with bike hire in this instance.
Yea I would cry if my blade ended up half as bad as that poor bloke! Donington mate its 2hrs 45min drive each way for me but I'm only doing it once
I know it goes against the grain....but Chris Walkers Race School is worth looking at. Its all Kawasaki's but Chris is supposed to be at every session with other BSB riders giving tuition. I have always rated CW since seeing him run about a mile in full riding gear across Brands Hatch to pick up his spare bike. Real hero. Ron Haslam is also a real hero but just thought I'd add an option!
Just had a quick look and appears to be nearly 100quid more for the same thing, plus you have to sit on one of them horrible green things

If July 3rd/9th are preferred by others then I'll tag along to one of those dates, but don't let me sway any decision either way. Can poss do Aug 21st but would prefer to do RH before doing Brands GP TD on Aug 6th!
