They are similar to my Dunlop D211's and ok in the damp. not sure I would want to use them in pouring rain. And would this be for road riding, track, touring? How often do you go out in the wet? I've not tried the Supercorsa but intend to soon. most of my riding is fast road and track in the dry mostly. Wets for trackdays
not brilliant tbh, they are designed to work hotter than your average road tyre, plus have very few cuts in them, but as long as your not stupid in the wet will be fine.
Remal I use my bike all year round so I do in counter rain a lot so I need a good all round tyres I'm running Continental contiMoton and they have been good in wet an dry so far and I ride fast most days 150+ was gonna go 17 70 120 / 17 55 200 on pirelli but the tyre doesn't look like they drain good in wet? This is my Continental pirelli http://images.motorcycle-usa.com/PhotoGallerys/large/_MG_0968.jpg
Scooby what would u run in wet n dry any advice welcome I'm buying new tyres in morning so need few ideas :cool wheels off ready :
Supercorsa are not you if your using them all year round. One of the bike mags has run this month the best tyres for fast road, rain and all year use. Dunlop SportSmarts came 3rd out of 6-6. With Metzlers Sporttec M5 I think it was coming in best. Something like that will last you longer and giver you lots of wet and dry grip My Sportsmarts lasted 3+k rear, great for touring, trackdays and fast road
If you happy with less than 2k out of a rear go for the sportier tyre. These came second in the bike mag test DIABLO ROSSO CORSA , Motorcycle Tyres - PIRELLI UK
ive used supercorsa's and wouldn't recommend for any sort of wet riding. As others have mentioned they have very little tread especially on edge of tyre where you'd corner need to get them nice and warm same with metzlers im trying
No track day tyre is good in the wet. After hearing lots of good reviews i would advise you to get mitchelin pilot road 3's, great in wet and dry
I've got Racetecs k1 front and k2 rear. These I've ridden once in extremely wet conditions for 25 miles and didn't notice anything wrong with them at all. They are dry tyres I know but riding stupid in the wet on any tyres will slip n squirm. I will try a set of m5's next but want to get some feedback on the mileage.I've done 1900 miles and track evening on these with 3mm left with no squaring.Well impressed with them.
Just had Michelin Power 3 fitted prior to the Scotland trip Cbr1 has also had them fitted they are a fantastic all round try and brand new technology .Well recommended .
i had a new set on my sp when i got rid, after 4 sets of sportsmax / sportsmart. they take longer to heat up than the dunlops and did not feel as sure footed at all. i had a few incidents where the rear stepped out and got the front to lock up, which the dunlops never did. (so obviously there's less friction there) in the wet they felt 'ok' but i wouldnt like to push them... seemed like i couldnt get any heat in them and theyre crap when cold.
In my experience with them I found them the worst Wet tyre I have ever used...great in the dry (when warm)
cant comment on the corsas but +1 on the power 3 used these in the wet with no problems, unlike the road 3 they dont have thread to the edges but you find me testing them in those sort of conditions. Also more than capable on a trackday or two
I'm running metzeler m5's at the moment and love them. Both wet and dry grip like they're scared to let go of the road
