Or ones to avoid? Within, say 60 miles from Windsor? Looking to buy second hand '12 blade. Cheers, Pete
I've always found Hatfields in Crowthorne, Berkshire to be very helpful and friendly. They rescued me from the roadside with my old Hornet, when the ignition cutoff switch decided to - errr - cut off mid ride! They fitted the new cutoff switch but didn't charge for the recovery. They've also done other work FOC for me and their servicing is very good as well, never had any complaints at all - quite the opposite in fact. It's rare for me to be impressed, but so impressed I was once that I rang Honda UK singing Hatfields praises. For used bikes, they seem to be a bit pricey, but as they are a family outfit you get good service from them. On the downside, as they are a smaller outfit they don't carry vast quantities of used stock - I am sure they could find anything you were after though. S
Sounds good. I popped in the other day to have a look at the white (hrc) '12 they have. Includes first service and new tyres when needed in the price How much does a service cost these days?
It will be more of a question of what dealers have used 2012 in stock. Not many around. Because there is no difference in spec between 2012 & 2013 hardly anyone will be trading in their 2012 blades; so not too many used ones in stock as i have found out. I mentioned previously that there are a tiny number of new unreg 2012 blades which dealers are keen to shift so should get a good discount on these. I did.
I bought my last two bikes from Martin. (An '11 600RR in 2012 and a '12 Blade in March). Can't recommend them enough really. It's an easy trip to them form Windsor too H
Is that the ex demo one? I'd snap it up if I were you. Damn good deal. First service for mine (It's an ABS) cost me £140 from them. H
In last year or so I have bought 2 bikes from Blade Honda in Reading. The second one being a 2012 Fireblade in Black. I have the greatest respect for all the guys and gal, Andy and Gareth in particular have been stars! The other day they topped the oil up for me in the car park. I know its all about sales but it is nice when you rock up and they remember your name!
And just to add that I bought my current Fireblade from Farnham Honda, although they might be a bit too far from you? Service was good, salesman a nice chap, very friendly. PDI service was very good, to be honest they did things in it that they probably could have got away without doing (new chain and sprockets) but they still did it anyway. Fitted some extra bits that I supplied such as Stompgrips and a radiator guard without any fuss. S
Dare i say Chiswick Honda. They have mixed reviews on here but from personal experience I can not fault them.
Also, to add Letchworth Honda - part of the same group. I have just placed a deposit on a new unreg 2012 ABS blade from them. What I liked about these guy's is that they shipped up a demo blade from Chiswick Honda for me to try. I also took out a CBR600RR as a comparison.
Always used Farnham Honda and found them always helpful................. But, recently changed my alliance to Chichester Honda, who have now been up an running for almost a year, really great service and can't fault them. They're obviously trying to build up a good customer base as they're trying to establish themselves, but they're certainly going the right way. Great Service, Very Friendly and Always helpful.
I demoed blades at both Chiswick and Farnham, both seem good folks, but Crowthorne is definitely nearer for services... Thanks for the feedback folks
not them lol - these monkeys... 4th Dimension dont let the snazzy website fool you. they are good though - they can fix yokes with plastic metal and repair abs fairings and headlights with araldite. :/
