Hopefully not too dumb a question.... Where do you place your tax disc?
I keep moving mine around and don't like how it looks anywhere!
I did have it tucked behind the reg plate at one time but I knew that was just inviting Plods interest (the plate might not be strictly legal either).
    Any thoughts?

I've got one of the tube variety on my swingarm, using the chain guard bolt to fasten it down. I think it looks quite good there. I hate the look of he big round holders but its all down to personal preference.

Mine is taped to the underside of the rear seat cowl and has been for years.
I have had too many stolen in London to keep displaying them.
The old bill are not interested in stopping scum nicking them, I am not interested in paying to replace them.

I also have one of those tube holders, mine is attached to one of the left hand mirror bolts.

Mines in a tax disc holder, wrapped in a freezer bag, under the rear seat cowl. Doesn't spoil the look of the bike there!

Sorry I mean its safer from being stolen there officer.

i used to do the seat thing... got pulled and the copper made my life difficult for 15 minutes.

put it in a 0869/8tube holder back of numberplate now.

Mine is in the white plastic wallet with my manual and service book in my desk at home. Old Bill has a direct online link in his car that can tell him instantly who has tax, insurance, MOT, just by noting your reg. number.

If/when I get stopped, non-display of tax disc is going to be the least of my problems!

Mines inside the front fairing using a stainless allen key'd holder, looks the best IMHO while keeping legal.

Those of you who keep it outa site well may have got away with it so far but the offence is non display and you can be done for it whether you have a valid disc or not.

i got a written caution last year for not displaying mine.... i was doing 105 at the time though and got off with a caution for that too! barsterd gave me a fixed penalty for my microns as well :/
he did say that an arsy plod can impound you for not displaying... and said that to the letter of the law, it shoud be displayed on the left, in front of the engine ...
doesnt leave many options does it!

Under me hump in a holder in a plasic bag. I'll take me chances, it is however the only thing slightly dodgy about the bike

True but i guess thats how much we care, just like how most of us go out happy in the knowledge that our illegal number plates may get us fined. Mine used to wear a photocopy until it got wet, so i removed it completely and got fined £60 for my undersized number plate, although they said nothing about the missing tax disc and seemed happy with their vehicle checks.

I removed mine over the winter when fitting the track fairing. it went under the pillion seat cover and has not come back out. kept there is needed but not on show. no issues on any ride outs. and if asked it fell of and I will be re fitting it when I get home Officer ;)
