Wife has just booked our holiday for this year and got a great deal. 12 nights and balcony cabin on the Carnival Legend going from Dover in August. Visiting Russia, Norway, Estonia, Holland and Belgium. Price down from £1890 per person to £945 per person all in Roll on August
very nice Tc, another cruse then. still not done one but will be of in Aug to Mexico to the moon palace and can't wait.
My first and only visit to Mexico was on a cruise. Also did Belize, Honduras and Grand Bahama. The Aztec ruins in Mexico and the Mayan ruins in Belize are fantastic and well worth visiting
Cruises are still hard to shift after that dopey Captain sank his Ship last year. IMHO That's the best time to book a Cruise after a major disaster, as prices are at Rock bottom and other Captains suddenly raise their game thinking 'That coulda been me!'
I think most people recognise that the Captain of the Concordia was just a twat showing off or trying to be clever. But, the number of new ships being built is probably more significant. There are something like 14 new big ships being launched in the next 12 - 18 months, not to replace existing vessels but to complement them. That is a lot of ships to fill, which is why prices are dropping and people are recognising what good value for money they are
