So 2 weeks left in this God forsaken country, then 5 weeks at home. 8/9th July I pick up my first Blade as some of you know. I just wanted to say that Parry at kestrel Honda seems like an awesome lad. I said that I wanted to get some fork protectors and a few other bits put on the bike before I pick it up and hes done a good deal on the price of them AND no labour. Going to get an alarm fitted aswell I think, best too in my opinion. spread the word. PS I cant friggin wait to get on it..........................
re: Alarm - if I were you I wouldn't bother getting an alarm fitted, unless the reduction in insurance premium pays for it. An alarm is only good if a) you're going to hear it, b) you can do something about it. Usually they're more hassle than they're worth. On my next bike I'm going to have a biketrac tracker fitted as you can monitor its whereabouts yourself via the web and even track your trips. They will also monitor it so can alert you if it moves without the ignition switched on. Motorbike security tracking system - Bike Trac
Yeah I know mate, but had one on the speedie that Im part ex'in and it was just a useful tool. I work out of the country so when my good lady is on her own at home with the dog, its a good thing. When it goes off he goes mental and wants to chew on scum bags lol. also we have awesome neighbours and because we live out in the sticks a bit, they can hear it and in the past a couple of the farm lads have come runnin' to make sure that my lady is alright..........I wouldnt like to be a bike thief close to where I am bud. If my hound doesnt get you whilst you figure out a way to break my Almax immobiliser IV then the farmhands will probably feed you to the pigs LMFAO
Sorted ?/ LOl so you still reckon its not worth it mucker ? At the end of the day I suppose its a personal choice isnt it. I do however like the idea of that tracking device and Im going to look into costings and stuff today, so thanks mate.
I mean with your dog and neighbours! Good devices to have to react to your alarm. Where I live alarms go off all the time and no one bats an eyelid so even though I had an alarm fitted I wouldn't bother again and just rely on the tracker to alert me. But you can't beat having an angry dog and helpful neighbours though!
IMO save your money on tha alarm, I would of got a £1 reduction on my premium for my £299 alarm and no bugger even looks if one goes off and it will eventually leave you stranded or with a flat battery ... IMO of course
