Bikes aren't subject to the more stringent EU emissions that cars currently have to comply with but this is slowly changing. A long term report was compiled some time back about the projected future of Bike engine development. It's conclusion was that eventually, the Superbike class will end up with bigger capacity Turbo'd engines as it will be the only way that manufacturers can maintain or advance current engine power ratings and also comply with future emission regulations.
i feel i may have mislead some people, just checked my dyno graph and it's only 182.4 with 87ft/lb torque. still a very healthy motor
That bhp/torque at the crank would indicate a very healthy motor indeed. Those figures at the rear wheel would get your engine builder into working for Motogp
that is at the wheel. not sure HRC would be overly keen on a chap doing work on engines in his own little workshop though
funny you should say that as i was thinking it as i pressed post lol. ahh yes,Tony is/was a different kettle of fish all together, had few of his motors in the past,in fact still got a head of his off my 07 blade that he did for ian lougher/hutchy in 05.
