As per the title really. I find my self sliding around all over the place, especially whilst breaking, and my nads have had enough. I've been toying with the idea of getting some of these (the C3 version) and thought I'd just do a quick post to see what everyone's thoughts where.

Do you use them? Are they any good?

    Cheers all.

Fitted some to my blade a few weeks back, so far quite impressed, but nothing to really guage them against as I've never ridden with any of the alternatives (i.e. stompgrip).

    Some findings so far:

    - my textile trousers grip them better than my leather do, which is a little disappointing
    - for normal riding, I cant use them (legs & lower back cant cope with consciously gripping them)
    - under heavy braking I find they only help a little bit, but as above, that could be because my legs & lower back are too weak
    - for cornering, they are a revelation, I feel so much more secure and able to move body position mid-corner and generally forget about my lower body once its in position
    - the look a shed-load better than stompgrip (imo, obviously!)

I Love my Tech Spec C3!! I had the snake skin on my 600F, which was good but the C3 is MUCH better as the material is softer so grips better and is more comfortable at the same time.

I never used Stomp Grip on my bike but I have read that they can wear down your leathers, and can hurt a bit when wearing jeans. I used them on a hired track bike and were amazing grip.

Tech Spec is not as aggressive a grip as Stomp Grip, but most my riding is on the road. If I had a track bike I would have Stomp Grip.

But my Blade is my Pride and Joy so it gets the best... Tech Spec. The glue they use is reusable as well, in case you want it in a different position.

No had the C3 on my blade. Did not give the support I have with the stomp grips I have gone back to using and they do no stick well

    But that's just me

    Thanks for the input guys.

which stomp grips do you mean???
i had the clearish ones on my sp1 nd they looked bloody awful after uv exposure, they went sort of a piss yellow and dirt got in around the edges.
i wasnt impressed tbh but i must say i like the look of the techspec ones posted above (or below depending how your view is set up!)

Got the Techspec C3 on mine, far classier and better looking than the Stompgrip.

Seen a few bikes with the tell tale 'Piss Yellow' UV damaged Stompgrips!

The C3 pads are also a virtual identical match to the standard Honda imprinted plastic covers over the frame!

    Cunt be better!

Here's a close up of the Techspec C3 on my bike against the standard Honda plastic covers.

Yes the pattern runs vertically rather than horizontally on the plastics but even so not a bad match I feel?

Just a reminder to all. you can get gripsters and stomp grips via Andy at Demon tweeks and I got my stomp grips cheaper than I could anywhere else with the discount members can get via the forum

I was going to use Demon tweeks but they don't sell the C3 :(. Or at least they didn't when I asked.

They've not arrived yet but I can't see me trying them out any time soon as it's fecking pouring down here at the mo' and probably will for a few days yet.

Glad i spotted this post, was just about to buy some stompgrips for my 954.... will have a look at the C3's mentioned, they do look good but will unfortunatley cover up the nice lapis blue stripe on my tank.... oh well, i do agree they look nice, and a ' urine yellow ' bit of plastic on my tank would not look too good anyway !

Well they arrived on Thursday but I've not had chance to clean the tank properly and fit them yet. Hopefully I'll get them on soon. Mrs Stu saw them and said 'You paid £40 for them?', not in a shouty shouty way, more in a I can't believe they were so expensive way. I can sort of see what she meant as they aren't much to look at, but I can't wait to try them out :). I'm sure they'll turn me into a riding god......
For those of you who haven't tried them yet I'll let you know what I think when I eventually get to have a play.

I got my StompGrip pads in black for my black blade so no worries about piss yellow looks :D

The above C3 grips look great for allround use but I found that the StompGrip worked better with my leathers than the C3 when I tried both out. I'm sure you will be happy either way tho cos any tank pads are much better than no tank pads ;)

Maybe you ought to get the Stompgrip as a Tank Pad with full Stippled effect facing rearwards?
