Met a pair of other blade riders at Box Hill today, I mentioned that I wanted an inch Height on the bars and I'd like them to come straight out preferable rather than drop ..
One of the pair said, "oh mate, risers on eBay for £40" ... now .. I can't find them ? £40 seems super cheap .. Does anyone know what he might have been talking about?

He was fairly sure that the throttle cable guides still just cleared the fairing ...

Hope everyone caught the evening sun like me :)

my father use's helibars on his R1, they are about £140.
you can get ones for around £40 but they are complete fork
clamps and on his bike they didnt work as they fouled the fairing
no matter what position we tried.

Probably because they are exquisitely made from top notch materials and are fully adjustable to suit the rider.

There is a hell of a lot of force exerted through the bars on heavy braking and acceleration and cheap clips on's etc have been reported numerous times to flex about, making the whole riding experience crap, never mind dangerous if sumat snapped or moved unexpectedly during an emergency maneuver!

One of the best mods on my bike and I'd pay it again on buying another bike.

I have been thinking of getting some bars for mine as my hands/wrists suffer quite badly after 20 mins of riding these days. I have read reports from quite a few people that they help with this so they could be on my shopping list too.

The beauty of them is they don't stand out at all and look OEM to all but the expert viewer especially if like me you buy the all Black version.

The only thing that needs altering is the rotational position of the throttle assembly/Kill switch to stop it twatting the upper fairing near the screen and a 3" longer Brake line if you want the highest and flattest bar position which is how mine are adjusted.

    Few Pix

I was surprised how heavy the balde is on the wrists.
New ducati's aren't as bad, never thought I would say
    That line.

Do risers feel good for track or is it best to cut some panel away ?

Not had mine on the Track yet, but TBH this is a road riding mod, Track riding doesn't last long enough to be a problem for most.

Little tip for anyone fitting these is don't drill the 5mm locating hole for your Kill switch until you're happy with the throttle position.

My Dealer fitted mine and left them adjusted to just past mid way, I decided I wanted them as high & Flat as possible but this then led to the throttle cables hitting the upper fairing.

Easy fix this I thought, I'll just loosen the clip on and rotate it clockwise so the cables miss.
This is all fine but the because the Kill switch moves with the Clip-on because of the locating hole mine is now a bit to far over but still usable and I don't want to drill another 5mm hole so close to the Dealer one.

I could just buy a new Clip-on and re-do it but I just live with it.
A little more forethought in fitting by the Dealer would have avoided this.
