Although i did all the electrics myself, except for the lights, of which i had a do then forgot what i had done .So i asked the bloke next door who is into electronics to assist so he turns off the mains and pops his head into the ceiling space not knowing that i was moving a sheet of plywood and knocked the electric back on without knowing .Next thing bang the sucker had cut through some wires with some cutters and came down with an arse like a shitting dog ,never to be seen again.

Did anybody see the article in Performance Bikes about the Public self use bike garages. There is full facilities , bike lifts ,Compressors and air lines , tyre changers and wheel balancers etc . A few work stations and a few supervisors and you can roll up , Pay for your garage time and have full use of a lift and all the tools you need .

    Bloody brilliant idea i thought

You can do that at my workshop, only you just sit watch the racing, talk bikes and drink tea, while I work on your bike....lol
I have a saying about bike workshops/dealers:- "if they won't let you in the kitchen would you eat the food?" Get me? ;)

Anyways mate they have been doing that for yonks with cars.. :) Too much time on one site mate...lol

I've always hung out around the workshop when my mate's working on my car, probably a guilt thing about him doing all the work. I rationalise it by reminding myself of the years I spent dragging him around Wales in the middle of the night at break neck speed while he got bathed in the glory (navigators are the real brains in rallying). Mechanics (I don't like the term vehicle technicians) all do this Meerkat thing when you pull up. They all stand upright and squint in your direction. It was only after hanging out with them that you get to hear the soundtrack that goes with the action, that comprises of 'Who's this f*****g muppet' or variations on that theme

Not easy to post pics but here is an idea, some are of my main workshop, some are the steel/fab workshop and some are my pride and joy workshop.. :) My bikes hide somewhere else.. :)
