Right, so nothing too performance orientated then? Be interesting to see their take on a PCV, Quickshifter and a Map? Errrr.......... sorry I ment a Fuel Efficency Module, Auto Gearbox and Economy re-map!
As Bennetts were the cheapest at £107 I thought I'd call to go over the quote as I wanted to get rid of the £500 voluntary xs and declare my mods. They recognised the PCV and end can, the hugger, seat cowl and tail tidy were ok but they were struggling with ASV levers, radiator guard and gear indicator. I was told they would have to go to the underwriters AXA to get approval and get back to me. They also stated that the max. amount of mods was 3 and I may not get accepted by AXA. Will wait and see but the premium went up to £174 without voluntary xs and declared mods so far.
Got fixed up with Bennetts in the end, they quoted £107 and kept it at this even when I asked for the voluntary £500 xs to be removed. The only mods AXA recognised was the Yoshi and PCV, the levers were ok and the radiator guard was deemed as crash protection and my GiPro as a safety device. So from H&R renewal at £353 to MCE at £247 which I thought was good to Bennetts at £107...result. Recommend using the comparison site The Bike Insurer, it even had H&R on there as being cheaper than my renewal.
Well done good price in the end, insurance renewals are always more expensive, then you run it on the web comes in cheaper...happens all the time! Jim
