I'm after a cheeky little number that handles calls and music from my iPhone well.

Preferably nice and compact, heard the Sena SMH-10 was ok?

After extensive research (asking a few blokes at my bike meet) I got the Scala G4. Excellent bit of kit and I use it to listen to music on my iPhone and use the Tom Tom app I have for it. I've also had phone calls at three figures and had no problems, as your speed increases the G4 increases the volume. Others have been so impressed they bought them as well.

On the way to Liverpool to catch my ferry for the TT it absolutely stair rodded it down but my mate and I happily talked all the way on our bikes. So essentially they're very waterproof as well lol.

We also experimented with distance and I reckon line of sight we got about one kilometer before my mate started to sound like a darlek ;)

I have the Scarla g4, think its an awesome bit of kit. On tour others had the g9, putting the extra functionality to one one side the g4's battery life was twice that of the g9's

I'm converted (yes I said it) think the scala's are amazing! Really enjoyed using them on tour and gave another dimension for the ride out.

Was amazed how good they worked tbh

But still think that they could be a distraction during 'hammer time!' But we tended to go quiet at such points lol

I'd get the g4 over 9 as Dave said, battery life seemed far superior, and 4 does everything I'd want from it

Have you gone all gay on us here Jimbo. Next you'll be buying heated grips, and long johns for short blasts to the local park in anything less than 15deg. ;)
