Planning to add a little camera in to my lights (any one done this) so need some advice on whats cams are small but can get wide range of the road and work good at slow n high speed plus good quality footage
Does it have to be in the headlight as you can mount these Chinese mini cams anywhere these days. like how mine is velcro'd to the tail tidy
I had a micro cam on the front and a cmos camera in the rear and a toggle switch between the two.I went to dogcam sports for mine.not sure about putting one behind the headlight lens as the distortion would make any footage not that great. I mounted mine under the nose cone as the cameras were that slim there was no worries of it hitting the mudguard.
Just thinking out the way pusl keep it clean and no extra drag and police won't see it, my projectors lights will make the video footage better at night
Your not far off the mark with your thoughts Hump.About 8 years ago a mate had the camera lense in the head light instead of the bulb and the footage was very good with no distortion .I don't know what it was but it was wired back under the seat cowl into what would be the recorder and this as I remember could be played back . Things must have moved on greatly since then so go for it dude " and no you could not tell it was there at all"
Yes mate. I had it stuck to the back of my rear brake reservoir on the Scotland trip. Here's a short rear facing video and some screen grabs from my last post in the other thread.
You can now see why i moved it to the tail tidy as the luggage straps and numberplate were getting in the way.
Yes yes Givover I'm for it just looking for right cam and I'll add it in nicely an fix some led strip light indicator in the light to make it a proper job
This is about best cam for my bike. Not tinted visors! Getting carried away you lot. Back to camera's best place to buy from? Make & model. As once it's in my light its in for time
