changing up no clutch

    Bin for a ride out with the lads today and speaking to one of em who has an R1, does wheelie comps @ elvington and his personal best is on the R1 wheelie at 159mph, so obviously knows his stuff. He said to me that using the clutch is the total wrong idea and best thing to do is just wam the power on at 11K revs and change up a gear as soon as it lifts. Seems totally different advice to what I've heard elsewhere but man can he wheelie that thing. I like using clutch, what do you guys think?

    Clutch for me ........ I learned to wheelie on the crf 450 r and the blades in predictable it's like a bitch when squirting never know when it's at the limit

    2nd covering the back break that's a MUST,,!!! Good luck

    thats okay when you know how to do it, not for beginning.
    yes once you can do it sit about 70 in second, whack on the
    gas and up she comes but at higher speeds it takes a bit
    more skill to hold it up.
