Are they too hard for road use? A friend had a set on his R1 and I could feel every bump on the road and he changed them to a set of magnesium versions.

Too hard for road use???? Your mate's talking through his a**e! Last time I looked at my bike it had things on it called suspension adjusters which take care of those "bumps" in the road! Any decent road rider would give his right arm for a pair of these!
You're in the right place Peter to get the correct advice on aftermarket parts and how they affect the handling of your bike............just do yourself a favour and don't listen to your mate again! Sorry if that sounds a bit harsh but no offence to you.

Ok I know I'm selling these but OMG I've just ridden the bike with standard wheels !!
I don't know how you do it !! The only way to describe it ( for the older folk amongst us )
Is its like driving a car with no power steering ! I know now why I bought them brilliant :)
