    Right then.
I do not seem to be able to get any earplugs that work for me. I have tried some of the ones that you mix 2 compounds together and mould them inside your ears. Brilliant i thought as i was letting them set, very quiet.but they shrank as they were curing and didnt seem to make riding the bike any quieter and they hurt my ears after a while of being in.
I got some small so disposable ones and tried them this weekend, but i found that after a couple of miles riding it was getting noisy again and each time i took my helmet off they had fallen out of my ears, i tried wetting and twisting them in as well as pushing them well in but to no avail.
    Any ideas?

I think foam ones do vary as i went through 2 types before settling on the ones i since bought a box full off. Also make sure that you roll them up well and push far enough in (obviously not too much though) as they shouldnt fall out with your lid.

You need an earplug that suits the size of your ear canal. I've used the very expensive cast in your type for a couple of years and thought they were good. However, I have very narrow ear canals so that's all that would fit well. I've just found some mouldex ear plugs which are half the size of the normal ones and they work so much better than the silicone rubber type. Try and match the ear canal diameter on your cast in the ear ones and spend some time making sure you are inserting them into your ear canal correctly. The canal normally goes uphill and slightly towards the back of your head.

ACS custom hold your moulds on file for 4 years - £60 replacement cost if you lose a single plug (only know that as I thought I'd lost one of mine - it turned up in the vacuum cleaner bag though).

The customs are pricey, no doubt, but I spend well over 40 hours a month wearing them and they really are a pleasure to wear compared to anything else I've tried, so the cost works out just fine in my book.

Ultimate give you the molds so I have them, just was going to get it done again at the NEC when I can see them face to face rather than over the phone. I'm in no rush. but as said they are expensive but fit like a glove easy to fir and unless you loose them last for years as mine had

Sounds like you're not putting the disposables into your ear correctly. I used to have a similar problem of them falling out etc. You have to pull your ear backwards. Grab it between thumb and forefinger where the lobe meets the main part of your ear and ease it back. This lines up your ear canal.

    1) Roll up the plug to squash it
    2) Do this manoeuvre with your ear
    3) Plug will slide right in
    4) Push it in until there's almost no plug protruding
    5) Hold the plug in place with your finger until it expands. You'll feel it gripping as it does so.

    As below
