As winter seems to be lasting longer each year in the uk it got me thinking about the 6 month wait from not doing track days/ Riding my bike . You would need to pay for your flight over and beer tokens on top of below.

Come on let's make this a 1000rr forum on Tour we did Scotland now lets go international

Any one fancy either of these as I am up for it.

Both these look cracking value - and getting groups to divide up car hire etc. is huge help with keeping prices low

I'd love just to have 3 days in warm spanish sunshine - I'll have to see if Mark can do a shipping and hotel only price and I'll just tour for 3 days and meet you in the evenings!

I am not the best at weather forecasts as others will tell you but searching on the net highs of 23c lows of 15c
So like a great summer in the uk apart from the current weather.

Updated first post with weather for November for both tracks

end of day, £400 to get your bike delivered to spain and a hotel for 3 night is good value, throw in 3 days on track = stunning

Morning on track, afternoon touring about would suit me fine on my blade in road trip - if it goes wrong they bring it back anyway

i'm already booked on the Jerez trip :)

Euro trips are excellent trips away, and are very good value for money, mix in with that 3 days away with 100+ like minded people makes for some very memorabe trips away, and bloody good fun.

done a few over the yrs,Almeria,Jerez,Valencia,Portimao+val de vienne.

going back to Valencia next yr,but got a few tracks to cross off the list aswell,Assen+spa are next on the list to do.

My mam and dad live that way out in Spain. Weather is generally good that time of year. I'd be tempted but holiday booked for xmas so no spare pennies.

I fancy either of these having never done a track day in Europe can you answer a couple of questions ?

1.Where do you drop the bike off to get it transported to Jerez?

2.Do they allow you to take Spares etc

3.Which Airport is it for Jerez ?

4.Do they normally get booked up quickly these trips as I will book this week if anyone else is up for it .

If I remember correctly (have been to Jerez a few times)

You take the bike to the FE transport depot - cant remember where but it was south & a long way for me. They do have collections from other tracks around the country too but you would need to check with them on this.

You can take spares etc so long as they fit inside the bike stillage; usually room for a tool box, leathers & maybe wow.

I think we flew to Gibraltar.

I'm not sure they will book up that quickly now with less money around; you are obviously better off booking if you have set your heart on that date.

I loved Jerez; its a stadium track & has a great atmosphere. The hotel is 10 mins walk from the track & is very nice, but I hope you like traditional spanish food or you will go hungry!

    Happy Days.

If theres a few of us going then is it worth taking one toolbox per 2, 3 people? Just an idea, might save up on space.

no limits do the euro trips slightly different to FE.

with no limits, you either take gear/bike to bristol (thats the main drop off point) or for 100 quid return you can drop off at halifax, this makes life a bit easier rather than the 4-5 hr drive to bristol if your up north.

kit wise, you have enough space for your bike+stands WOW or tyres, your kit bag and a small tool box.the bikes are packed on metal stillages and are usually 2 to a stillage.thgey are tight with 2 lots of gear+bikes, and is best if your going woth a mate, that way you can spend a bit of time getting everything packed on and have things up against each bike etc.
the drop off is usually the week before.

FE have thier own lorries and the bikes/kit are loaded onto+strapped up against the sides, you can generally get a bit kit on there but the stories(and witnessed)about damage to bikes can be a little off putting, although my bike has always been fine.

then the ,main difference is that NL run it as a normal day,3 groups etc, where as FE run groups on the morning and then open pit in the afternoon, sounds ok,but the mix in ability on track gets very scary at times, especially at tracks like portimao/valencia where the pit exit leads straight onto the 1 st corner, which are very fast corners, and can find a novice parked right on the apex entering the track as they dont really know where they are going.

they are so much more relaxed than uk days, and you get very few flags, and reds are almost un heard of (Valencia last trip had 1 red over 3 days!!!).

you'll need to factor in hire car, fuel+insurance onto your the cost, plus beer/food money.

they really are great trips away, and try to get at least 2 in in a yr.

Thanks for info Scooby I would take my bike to Halifax how far is the hotel/track from Gilbralter airport ?

Think I would bubble wrap/foam wrap my bike I get race fairings back on Wednesday from been painted dont fancy getting them damaged on the journey especially if I end up going on my own and don't know who I am sharing the storage with.
