Im no expert mate, but is that not like a cold tear? seems pretty surgical in the cut though doesn't it?

My guess would be sharp kerb stone.

Have you bumped up any kerbs to park or something like that ?

Def not kerbing it mate.... Never do that.

As for cold tear not on those as I'm pretty careful to warm them up before full lean, guessing I've gone over something sharp mid bend.

Weird though. Bit worried bout it on corners now tbh

The pics make it look deeper than it is, but strange all the same

Whatever tore it dug in and peeled the scab back way past the point of impact the torn edge continues way past the triangular part. I don't think that was something just lying in the road. That was something fixed in place.

Thing is though ken it's on the left side of tyre, so the clean cut bit would have been the last of it?

Do you think it could be caused by a imperfection in the tyre?

Not the way it's torn / cut, think it must have been something in road fixed or not...

Hmmm, have you checked the bike that you haven't had any carbon peeling or de laminating that may have flipped up into its path...

How far would the chain have to travel to reach the tyre though?
