I thought I'd (pimp:cool:) upgrade my already noticeable bike (CBR 1000 RR6 Redbull colors) up just that little bit more with the following:

    1. Dyno Jet Power commander V
    2. Dyno Jet Quick Shifter
    3. Galfer front wavy discs
    4. Galfer rear wavy disc
    5. Brembo front pads
    6. Galfer rear pad
    7. Pipercross Air filter
    8. Metzeler sportec M3 tyres
    9. Giles crash protectors
    10. ASV brake and clutch levers
    11. Multicolor LED accent light kit (from "Joe Florida")
    12. Dual projector headlights with Multicolor hyper LED angle eyes (from "extreme discount cycle")

All of the above apart from 2,11,12 have been fitted. I'll post some pictures up when it’s all complete.

Any questions or advice then please drop me a line.

Pic 5 (Headlight unit) I bought from the States for $111 (£73) including P&P and import charges; which is a bargain as the average price I could find on the internet was £99 just for the unit.

Quality of the product is excellent, I was worried it would be cheap and nasty? but my fears have been subdued. I just need to install the Projector headlights when they arrive - that's a project in itself...off to YouTube for advice.

I agree, I never really paid much attention to rearsets - maybe I'll have a look around and see what catches my eye? although the stock fitted ones look good too.

Gold! - Noooooooo. That's the one colour I really don't like on bikes, but thankfully that's just my personal opinion.

"Each to their own" as they say.

Anyway - what is your personal opinion on accent lights? Below is the link to the set I've purchased.

It's very hit and miss when buying from abroad, but on the flip side I have bought stuff from the UK and it's been pants.

    *Update.

1: The Hyper LED projector lights are on hold for another month  I spoke with the manufacturer in the States and they are making them brighter and better - wohoo.

2: Had a quote for a personal custom DynoJet map for my PC V = £200 - ouch! When I asked if the Quick-shifter made any difference to the mapping, they said "No" But I'm sure it does make a huge difference when setting the bike up - Any thoughts?

3: Looking at these brake lines too: Standard Brake Lites | Motorcycle Brake Lites | Sportbikelites

4: Has any installed any 'pig ear' mirrors? I think they look rather cool, just wondered if anyone had fitted them?

5: Rear Set - seen a nice one on Ebay: http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_o...et&_nkw=honda+cbr+1000rr+06+rear+set&_sacat=0

I purchased these from 'Joe Florida' Joe Florida Motorcycle Accent Lights - Led Accent Lights | Motorcycle Led Lights | Motorcycle Led Lights | Led Accent Lights | Led Accent Lights | Led Accent Lights | Motorcycle Led Lights | Motorcycle Led Lights

Product 144-Multi-Color LED Motorcycle Accent Light Kit w/Remote Control
    Cost $195 inc delivery.
    Delivery time was 10 days.

1st - I read the instructions several times...lol Within the instructions they advise you where to place the LED strips, however I think these are generic instructions for Harley type bike not sports bikes. I laid mine out on the kitchen floor in a rough pattern of where I wanted them. Then tested them individually with a 9V battery ( i don't have a spare 12V)

2nd - I took off the fairing on ONE SIDE ONLY. By doing this you can temporary tape the LEDS to your 'fairing on' side and see how they light up, before committing to fixing them permanently. Once your happy you can then mark out the position on the fairing you have taken off - i found this method quick once I knew where I wanted them.

Note* I spent 5hrs meticulously placing & testing them for the best effect plus minimal wiring - TAKE YOUR TIME ITS WORTH IT!

3rd - The control box i had to place under the pillion seat and used the extra wire provided to connect to the battery.

Note* I used terminal block for all my connections instead of the plastic ones provided. Also purchase some double sided sticky velcro - Its a god send for sticking stuff down and easily manipulated if you need to move stuff around.

    bike 012.jpg

4th - Wiring from the control box to the multi connector on the fairing I used the longest cable provided and naturally channeled it through the frame, cable-tied it where necessary.

5th -The rear 2 LEDs were easy as I only had to travel a short distance to the control box - Again I spent 2 hrs placing and testing before committing.

Summary - TAKE YOUR TIME! I can't stress that enough.

I'll post more pics and a video when i get time.

ANY QUESTIONS - please ask or email me [email protected]
