Hello all, I have just purchased a rr9 after owning a 2008 R1. On my R1 I dropped the forks to make it turn in quicker. Is this same mod recommended on my new bike? Also it has a scorpion can but has another box behind fairing. Can this be removed to make louder. I like the sound but much quieter than last bike. Lastly I have noticed rear seat cowl has rubbed off some of the orange paint near lock area. Has this happened to others and what have you done to fix.
I am, only done a few miles as only got it last week. Hoping to get out a bit over next few weeks. Seems to have more mid range than the R1.

I've just got a rr8 yesterday and absolutely love it, the difference from my rr5 is unbelievable. The person before me has stuck a thin clear plastic strip across behind the pillion seat, doesn't look intrusive and stops the rubbing. It's like clear sticky back plastic. This would stop it rubbing anymore but won't repaint the old rubs.
Not yet but will get some. Its a 09 Repsol with 5K. Currently got a scorpion can and R&G tail tidy. Not sure whether to change can and get some shorty levers.
