Honk kong seat cowls?

I am after a seat cow, for an 08 blade in white. There seems to be hundreds on eBay from china from 20 quid, has anyone bought one? Are they any good?

 

I just nearly ordered one but the ad said the paint might not match your bike? Sounds a bit dodgy. Surely they didn't lose too much out of the luggage compartments but I do keep my wallet in there. Might wait for a proper one on eBay

 

A Mate got a red one from China and it is a better match that the Honda one, cannot tell any difference unless you look underneath it. Paint finish is good as is the fit.

 

i have one, fits perfectly, resprayed it myself though as the colour didnt match, 20 quid for the paint required, 20 quid for the cowl, much cheaper than the genuine Honda one!

 

Thanks people, I might just splash out the cash then, need a white one so don't think it will match the metallic but I'm sure it can't be far off. I let you know what it's like when it comes.

Got a black one for my 09 , no probs and a good match.

 

I've debated getting one for months now as I only ride solo and I only need the pillion seat fitted for when the Kreiga gear is on the back.

The only reason stopping me getting one is the fact I'll lose the Pillion grab strap which I use to steady the Bike both up & down when using the rear paddock stand.

Don't fancy using the stand without sumat to grab on to as dropping the Bike with the resultant damage outweighs the asthetics of having a seat cowl IMHO

 

I think its mainly the repsol ones that arnt a good match

 

I havent got a strap. I use the pillion foot rest to hold whilst putting it on paddock stands. Unless you've taken them off

 

To me that seems rather precarious if things went 'one way or another' ?

Vanity is the maker of much carnage!

 

I've got a black one its never given me any cause to think it going to fly off, and the match is good.

Just had my seat cowl for my 07 blade from the Neverland in China.
Good fit, colour match looks spot on, if you look hard enough you can see a couple of imperfections but it is black so they do show up more than other colours would so well pleased with the purchase and would recommend.

 

I got one of the faster ones, the paint was a little darker than the visible paint on the tail fairing but matched the hidden areas, seems my Repsol has stood in the sun too long. Price paid, 18 quid. It even had the HRC sticker on and was lacquered over to seal it. When I looked underneath it seems it was originally blue.

 

Yeah there good, I've got a Tahiti blue one for my 09 hrc, spot on colour match, couple of Honda racing stickers......boom, no difference at all
