Well my White HRC Blade is being delivered tomorrow and I have ordered so far, levers, seat cowl, R&G tail tidy and a smaller number plate.

Apart from an exhaust of some description and a tinted screen I will need a hugger but some of them look pig ugly.

What is the best one to go for, maybe carbon but not Honda's ridiculously priced version. Does anyone do an exact copy of the Honda one at a third of the price !!

Powerbronze seem to get mixed reviews and not that keen on the mesh personally, everyone to their own though.

Some pictures if anyone has something that they think may appeal to me would help.

Do you get a hugger with the 2012/13 bikes ????

I done some of that carbon wrapping on a GSXR that I had looked great actually.

I spent months looking for a Hugger for my new Bike.

Nothing came close for fit and finish than the OEM Honda unit.

I spy Rosso Corsa's, love Pirelli tyres, do not even know what will be foisted to my bike when it arrives, from what I've read seems to be Bridgestone S20's ?

What are the Rosso Corsa's like on the Blade ?

    Awesome mate!

If U do a search you'll see most peeps aren't happy with the standard Tyres.
Mine came with Dunlop Qualifier 2's on which I junked at the first service for Michelin Pilot Road 3's
These were ace tyres for wear and grip but were very hard at the rear and made the Bike feel 'Crashy' over bumps etc
Great if you commute on a Blade or do big miles, but for me I wanted more grip and feedback at the expense of longevity.

After reading the Performance Bikes 2013 Top Tyre test of which the Pirelli Rosa Cosa's came top by some margin I sold my 2000 mile old PR3's to a mate with a Kwak Z1000SX and bought the Pirelli's in a 55 series rear.

Well pleased with the improved ride and the grip is another step up from the PR3's

You'll have to excuse the 'Chicken Strips' in the Photo as that was taken the day I had them fitted with only 45 miles of 'run in'.

The Picture above the Pirelli pic is with the Mich PR3's fitted with about the same mileage.
I tend to take pix of the Bike after a change or Mod!

As sinewave has. I had a powerbronze on my 09 in carbon and compared to the Honda racing one its like night and day. £200 is a lot of money but if you wait you should be able to pick one up 2nd hand either from here or eBay.

Got them on my outgoing 848, great in that.
    I don't like Dunlops so hope it's Bridgestones !
Maybe better to take them straight off and sell them as new

I'm no expert but I have really liked my s20s. I had 2 sets of rossos on my 09 and a set of angels and the bike came with Dunlop qualifiers when new. Give them a go you might like them. Only issue I have with them is pretty much gone with just over 2000 miles. I used to get between 3500 and 4000 out the rossos.

personally i dont like huggers on blades at all - every time i see one it reminds me of something that fell off a harley fat boy - the hugger pulls the looks of the tail down and flattens the look of the bike - i know the stones hit the tail but id rather apply clear shield on the underside or even replace the tail when its too bad - of course, its totally a personal preference.

Interesting comment which I also once said. Have u tried the Dunlop sportsmarts or D211gp. After years of not liking Dunlop's I gave them a try and never went back to Bridgestone

Also if anyone goes for the Honda hugged don't forget cox do da in the trade board. Worth a try

Looks lovely but not much difference to the standard Honda hugger. Was looking for something a little smaller for my wets and mine get very close to my hugger. and just to protect the rear shock. not worried about the rest as it gets cleaned often :)

but thanks for thinking of me :)

Personally I think the Honda one does look quite big, the Powerbronze one actually looks quite nice fitted, well they do if they fit straight !

I quite liked that smaller carbon one, seen them from £49 to £109 on eBay, both the same as well.

Like that Racefit can, also know Rich at Austin racing but not keen on the angle of most the cans and he does not have a Racefit style one.

I know the Taylormade does not get favourable reviews but it looks fantastic. A mate has one on his 08 Repsol from new and he has had no problems at all.
Going to Florida in 2 weeks and can get one for around £480 and can carry it back as hand luggage like I did last year with a pair of carbon exhausts for my 848, no duty as its in with my allowance !!

Can also get a Yoshi R77 much much cheaper.

That's exactly the same as the standard hugger but in carbon. Haven't you got the standard one still?

So is that what size is fitted as standard ( Bikes not here yet, due within 2 hours, apparently ! )

If it is the same size not worth changing really, may as well cover it in that carbon wrap if anything.
