Ahhh. Swimming against the fully syn tide, use Castrol semi syn, always used it in the race bikes as well, but that was dropped after every meeting.
Have used it in the last 4 Blades, that have combined mileage of close to 250k, never changed a shim or had any issues.

Silkolene Pro4 Energy 10w30 and K&N Oil filter :) It's more expensive but you get what you pay for!!.. much smoother with a silky gear change and low drag! SWEET!!! :D ;)

We cant get silkolene pro 4 in Australia, but we can get silkolene comp 4 10w40 which I use and I reckon its OK but I dont leave it in for much more than 3000Kms.
The castrol power 1 racing we get here is 5w40, and I have used it but not impressed really. Seems to break down fast giving notchy gearchanges.(just my opinion)
Motul 5100 semi is a fairly good oil without going over the top price wise.
Its all a bit subjective, really.

another +1 from me too, only difference is the filter. Changed for a K&N filter just because of the simple brilliancwe of putting a standard 14mm nut on the end of it to torque it up and undo easier!!

    Hi mate,
Yeah I felt that Castrol Power 1 wasn't up to much and found my gearchange notchy!!! I much prefer Silkolene to Castrol!
Pity you can't get it over there:( Strange to us using different viscosity due to a different climate :)

Usually use the Castrol power 1 race but last time I banged in the Silkolene Pro 4 seems good and its a lovely red wine colour at 50 sheets per 4 lts its not cheap but there again its the price of a curry for two and you know where that ends up .
