    Hi there,
has anybody fitted an R77 Carbon can with SES Rearsets I have the Rearsets already fitted, however, can not see how the Can will fit to the rearsets at the point where it should bolt to the rearset?

I think I will put the standard footrests back on however, cant remember how they fit in terms of the springs and non obvious bolts etc. Does anyone know where I can obtain instructions on line please??

    Thanks for any help.

The exhaust will fit. The rearsets pick up the OE exhaust mounting point so there is no reason why they won't be compatible with an aftermarket can which fits the OE rearsets

Hi, thanks for your reply. As you will be aware the OE Exhaust has a thin bracket as opposed to the R-77 which has a bracket that is about 8mm thick, therefore i don't think there is the space to fit it and the angle and shape of the Yoshi bracket seems to make it incompatible. It maybe me as I'm bordering on useless in terms of my mechanical/technical ability! I'm guessing your exhaust has a thin bracket like the OE version? Thanks for your help

Ha !!!! thats what I thought when I fitted my LeoVince to the Gilles rearsets .......... no way did the carbon bracket supplied fit

Had to make my own bracket from a bit of alloy I had kicking around ..... I used the carbon bracket to fit the Nitron remote preload adjuster

My exhaust has a clamp which gives a bit more flexibility in fitting as it can slide up or down the can.

Is there no way you could make a little bracket from the hanger to the fixed bracket on the end can? Maybe remove the sPacer on the can mounting first though to gain some extra room.

Im surprised you can't get it to fit as arata cans have a fixed mounting point on the link pipe (long system) and or can (short system) and I have seen both fitted with SES rearsets.

Thanks a lot for your help, it does fit you are right. I'm clearly inept when it comes to mod's and indeed anything mechanical. I usually leave it to the pro's. Best way I think! Cheers

    Hi there
4 bikes later I've forgotten how I resolved it. From memory it was incredibly straight forward and I didn't need to modify or purchase any additional items.
I'm sorry I'm not much help.

Incidentally I'm selling the SES Rearsets they only travelled circa 80 miles and have sat in my garage since.

    Best of luck. Mike.
