    My suggestion...

Get the phone unlocked and go onto the £10 a month GiffGaff contract - keep current phone

Is there anything the S2 does not do?

Most phones now on 24 month contract - work out monthly price less £10, times that by 24 and that's what your 'free' phone will cost

iPhone user here and they are very good and easy to use and should be less prone to viruses campared to android handsets! Depends if you have brought lots of apps from the google play store for android? I know the Samsung galaxy S3 and S4 are very good

Three mobile also do a very good sim only 30 day rolling contract called the one plan includes as follows for £25 a month

    2000 any network minutes
    5000 three to three minutes
    3000 texts
    Unlimited data

The last is true as I don't have home broadband and just use my phone and regularly download over 15gb a month via my phone, you can get the same plan on a 24 month contract with most phones for a little bit more

Galaxy s3 user here. Wouldn't go back to an iPhone again. Easy to use without the hassle of iCloud

S4 mini for me, had iphones for 4 years and dont feel i would go back now to be honest, the only downside with the S4 mini is the battery life but in saying that you can get spare batteries on evilbay and you can swap the battery in seconds
