Honda CB1000R - Any rumour ref 2014 bike ?

    By rumour i mean some kind of significant upgrade etc, its been with us since 2008.

    I spoke to John at Hunts about this very question and he was very specific in saying that the upgrades would be very minimal just paint and maybe just a bit more power but nothing to get into a frenzy about .

    Was that about the CB or CBR ?

    I was told same as you but in reference to CBR , not the CB1000R naked bike

    We havent had a CBR1000R in Australia since 2009.

    I thought as much, it appears this super naked bike is the orphan child of the Honda R & D team !

    I guess its because Australia is a small market, and the 1000R didn't sell all that well when it was available, like the vfr1200 doesnt sell well here either, so Honda Australia takes the decision so they wont get caught with unsold stock.
    They are still trying to sell 2010 VFR1200s.
    Shame because its a good concept and I would prefer one over a Yamaha FZ1 or Kawasaki Z1000 if I was in the market for that style of bike.

    Well having thought about this and done a bit of research i have got my sight set on one of the new MV Agusta Brutale's..... at least they make incremental improvements over time. Honda could learn a lesson or two.
