So here ya go for all you sad people who have already packed your bikes away till next year ..... it was a little cold first thing with some patchy fog/mist lingering ... but it was 9 o'clock in the morning
But by the time Jimbo and myself had reached Maidstone to meet the others (not forum) it was warm and clear .

Hear Hear ! What a fantastic biking day Had a spin out Sat and Today .And once home you could hear in the distance the humming of bikes everywear. Forecast is for a cold snap up North but get an extra jacket on and get out before they get the salt down.

You've started something now, Nutty. Someone's bound to come up with a smaller one.

My money's on Giv'. Classic angry loner.

I really must find a VTR to have a go on. Just to satisfy my curiosity.

Just as a side issue ... the SP1 is number 284 of the very first SP1's made ... he says the first 300 were assembled in Japan at HRC and the cases are Magnesium with HRC stamped all over them . The only case I could see was stamped magnesium but without removing the fairings I couldn't see the rest . Anyone else know the history of the early SP1's . These were made so Colin Edwards could knock Ducati off their pedistal

When I was looking for a replacement for the Ducati, I wanted another V twin but wanted a Honda too so started looking seriously at these. Those that new them put me off as I'm a bit of a back sufferer and apparently they're ergonomically challenging. But they do look and sound biblical.

    Careful!

You'll have the MOD's down on you for soliciting.

As part of my half hearted research into it, Jimbo, It seems that the mods to the SP2 make it seem like a new bike over the SP1, so if there were Castrol SP2's, that's where I'd look.
