    Hi Guys,

I've been improving on my wheelying the entire season and decided it is time to share some of the experience which I have gained with you lot, so that maybe it can save some of you some time when you are beginning to wheelie :)

Hope it helps and some can benefit from it :thumb:

Do you always bounce the front up? I find that in 1st and 2nd (especially 1st) the blade needs no bounce at all just WOT. Maybe a bounce in 3rd but I have a 15T sprocket on front. Have you experimented with the clutch? Good video BTW, seems as though you have nice dead roads to practice on thumbs up!

I personally lift it in first then knock it into second, I try not to lift it starting in second as
you are carrying more speed and a higher chance of it going wrong on landing.I try to not
go above 60, takes you to hold it a bit higher to keep the speed down but I suppose its
what your used to......oh and on private roads before anyone asks.

I used the screen as a guide when I was learning, find a level road and get used to lifting it so the
screen is level with the horizon. when you have that down you then get used to lifting it a bit more
so the screen is slightly above the horizon ans so on unil you have to peer around the side to see where
    you are going.

you needed to let the revs get slightly higher on the cbr6, probably
used to relying on the torque more.my gixer 6 spent more time mono
    wheeled than two wheeled lol

I started out with power wheelies but use the clutch now , and always in 2nd gear.
I still pull the odd power wheelie, like comin thru the exit of a fast corner in 2nd gear then just shut it off and back on , the rr8+ is the easiest bike to wheelie imo, thats from rr2 and rr5 , even my rsv mille was harder to wheelie than the new blade, but I was only tryin to power wheelie that and never with the clutch.
@ op , I think when u start using the clutch , you'll realise that its a much easier and safer way , its like a wheelie button:D

I can image that with a 15T sprocket in front things are alot easier - i have a 15T at home, but think that the bike will become unrideable cause it'll perminately lift - hence more dangerous aswell, so I chickened out :)

and yeah i bounce it cause it lifts easier like this (at least IMO) :)

here is part II - 2nd gear power wheelie

The 15T front sprocket just means it comes up easier, but with the shorter gearing I have found it wants to drop back down more so you have to wind it out. If you are cruising at 60/70mph you can just open the throttle and pull the bars and it comes up. It would probably eliminate the need to bounce for you, but I have found that everyone has their own technique for doing wheelies. If you have a technique you prefer stick with it. I hate it when people say "you should wheelie this" or "this is how you get your knee down". However you are comfortable doing it, do it like that. Aslong as you are safe. I leave most of it for when on track now, best place for it, and safest.

    Ride safe man

uff stoppies ... thats a complicated topic - i've seen friends go down very hard whilst trying stoppies and getting slammed by the bike... so the next video will be on how to wheelie and shift up while at balance point :)

I find then easier than wheelies, my RR5 was great for them.could have covered a good
distance real easy.my sister had a one mile lane to her house, we played there every weekend

I can do stoppies at very slow speed but im always scared that at higherspeed the front is gonna go under heavy braking!

ride with the front brake dragging to warm the front tyre faster, then
start off about 70mph and do an emergency stop.then repeat over and
over again but this time the more you slow the more you brake and the
rear end will slowly lift. get used to this but also try not to come to a
dead halt before releasing the brake again.now that you have got used
to this then comes the important points
    1. dont look at the road in front of you, this is how you flip, keep your eye
on the horizon as its easier to gauge your height,I personally keep the top
of my visor level with the horizon.
    2. just before you brake bounce on the seat and the rebound bounces the rear
up easier without having to brake as hard.

IMHO one thing you do learn from all this is good front brake control and the limits
of your tyres.also learn how to do front wheel skids without falling off lol.
