You may well do. She is a very short blonde, and he is rather tall with shaved head. I see most were using the schools bikes anyway in your pics, so that maybe rules out seeing them on their R1's.
Couple of pics on my Ron Haslam mini Moto, unfortunately most were taken my first session before I was talked through body position etc but better than nothing.
And I bet you were all thinking oh crap Martin on a race track what bone is he gonna break! Well you were all wrong! I broke my toe getting out the feking shower!
Looks like a cracking day had by all Who was on the 2012 Aniversary bike with regular fairings on? Is the next course up on a Blade?
That was prob Ron or Leon they were flying round all day Yea next level up is blade they were race faired up in black. We were talking about doing the elite course next year, I'm thinking of doing the elite but on the 600 as I liked the fact I couldn't get in too much trouble with the power (this was my first track experience)
Got to admit Martin, that didn't look too good when you showed me the photo the other night. I think you just like breaking bones mate
That was Leon mate the lap before that pic he mono wheeled the whole of the start finish straight. They were there all day and were showing some of the faster lads how it was done and also mixing it up with the youngsters on the training grounds. As martin said next up will probably be the elite class, but agree with Martin I'd rather do it on the 600's again and concentrate more on improving my riding skills rather than just getting scared shittless on the blades on track. That and the fact it is proper 1 on 1 tuition with more laps and more time to learn.
When it comes to being a wuss there is non more wussy than me, but even I used the fireblades in the Elites, mainly because I was more familiar with it. Scary? Yes. Fun? You betcha.
To be honest I had more than enough fun on the 600's and the blades are only black ones! Plus I witnessed a 250 flying past the blades and that is the honest truth, ok Ron was riding it but that's not the point
I only scored 80% but I have some excuses Ahem - never been on track before, never ridden a 600rr, bike was too small, I was too fat, the leathers were splitting up the twins (def too tall for a 1pc), oh and there was a bear on the track but I Was the only one that noticed that Oh yea and Im not very good rider
You can't just go Calling Colin a bear like that mate, fair enuff you now have some miles between you for safey, but has a good memory!
Both me and Colin scored 85% scored under the same instructor. Oh Colin apparently lacks style! The highest score of the whole group if I recall was 87%, with seven people all scoring 85%.
Another bit of fun for you Swiss, Guess How many fingers I'm holding up? Tbh mate a paper score card means sod all to me bragging rights aside, I had a great time n took away loads from it and that was my goal going in! Also met a few more friends in the process.
You are right mate; I'm only messing. Can't think of a better day out than playing on bikes with the lads & learing a bit too. I did beat you though; big time !
