Just think how much fun it would be if we lived where the weather was decent.

I'd have another 750 tomorrow if I were in the market for a brand new bike. Had a 10 plate I wish I'd never swapped. Easy to ride and plenty of power for the road. Don't think you'll be disappointed. Just get those furst 500 miles gone then you can start to open it up properly. Enjoy. Oh and pics on sunday please.

Well collecting in the morning ,been down today and sorted the paperwork out .A bit disappointed that the VCR Rearsets are now on two weeks but I will deal with it on the 1st service which won't be long .Barney has kindly offered his services by escorting me to Barmouth to get some miles in but my fear is getting picked off by a greaseball on a shitter and not being able to respond Ha!

Well I've seen the new bike this morning and what a cracker it is :)
Met mike around 11.30am this morning at Whitchurch and then onto
Shrewsbury for breakfast , had a good look over the bike and its nice
very nice indeed , the trick bits on it now suit it very well and the exhaust
is beautiful , not seen that type of yoshi before ,
Mike is a very fast rider and this bike does suit him well , ( he will explain ) why ?
After breakfast a ride out to the rhug for a coffee and we put the world to rights ,
Thanks for a good few hours mike , nice to meet you again ,
Lovely fella , speaks his mind ,very funny , and down to earth,
    Cheers mate , Steve .

Evening boys sorry for the late report but I have been in the garage picking the F ing stickers off everywhere .One one the tank ,one each side of the panels under the Handel bars and one on the plastic chain guard .Whilst this is something we all have to do it seems to be harder these days as though they use extra extra bonding glue which under the heat of the hair dryer only breaks away into miniature pieces .Any how I picked the machine up as planned this morning and to be fair to the guys at Millenium they had it ready and waiting as I did the paperwork on Saturday it was just a matter of getting on it and riding away forgetting that you have to pull the clutch in to start Doh! The throttle response is very good with no lag but what blue me away was the shear noise created by the " induction box" please correct me on this but I wear ear plugs as normal and the sound is like a 200 k Maserati I even thought the mechanics had not bolted the exhaust on .Over the years you tend to read this induction roar statement and you think of it for a moment and then it goes away but sitting above it is very impressive not sure if anyone else can hear it ie people nearby .The running in period seems about 600 miles which is 300 more than the Blade poo! and you can rev upto 7k on the speedo which is about 96 mph .Prior to letting the Blade go I had a good think of what I wanted from the bike and as I have had maybe about 7 1000cc bikes I took the risk and without a trial ride on the 750 based on the lightweight and the extra efforts of Suzuki to make the bike as near to a 600 as possible after years of barreling into corners perhaps to hot you realise that the weight of the thou really takes some stopping / turning and in the right hands this is not an issue .I have over the years had fantastic times and some moments so the mind set is can I go as fast but enjoy it better and become a more confident rider the answer up to now is yes the bike does exactly what I want it to do and tracks really well .Power wise I can only comment on today's ride and although I would have loved to have wacked it open i was a good lad and kept to the sacred revs. The power did surprise me as I thought it may be a little flat but its deceiving and just like you here about twins you tend to arrive not thinking you are going fast but are .There are a few nice touches like the seat cowl is a type of carbon ? Which sits between the carbon over the rear light and a section from the cowl to the back of the rear seat .The Yoshi can itself looks very trick but I would have liked a bit fatter link pipe but maybe nit picking .Tyres are Bridgestones BT 0.16 and seem ok but only within the moderate pace of today .Bike has venturesheild fitted so this should help if the finish is not up to Blade standard .So only based on today's 200 miles I am very happy with the swop , without the goodies it perhaps stands me about 2k to change which gives me a new machine with Bembro brakes ( no ABS issues) Showa forks and suspension lightweight wheels 600cc handling 2 years warranty and of course I would have had to chip in about 7 k for a Zx10 or even more for the BM but I will be having the same fun .No photos sorry the computer has packed in and I have a new one just need to unpack and get my finger out .I had the wheels power coated White so looking at some red wheel stripes ordered some Gillies VCR in black which will be fitted at the 600 mile service .Once this is done I can then take it to the next level and although it won't have the mean grunt of the Blade my guess is there is more than enough in the pot so should be ok in the company of the usual suspects lol.

Over the years you tend to read this induction roar statement and you think of it for a moment and then it goes away but sitting above it is very impressive not sure if anyone else can hear it ie people nearby .The running in period seems about 600 miles which is 300 more than the Blade poo! and you can rev upto 7k on the speedo which is about 96 mph .

Prior to letting the Blade go I had a good think of what I wanted from the bike and as I have had maybe about 7 1000cc bikes I took the risk and without a trial ride on the 750 based on the lightweight and the extra efforts of Suzuki to make the bike as near to a 600 as possible after years of barreling into corners perhaps to hot you realise that the weight of the thou really takes some stopping / turning and in the right hands this is not an issue .

I have over the years had fantastic times and some moments so the mind set is can I go as fast but enjoy it better and become a more confident rider the answer up to now is yes the bike does exactly what I want it to do and tracks really well .Power wise I can only comment on today's ride and although I would have loved to have wacked it open i was a good lad and kept to the sacred revs.

The power did surprise me as I thought it may be a little flat but its deceiving and just like you here about twins you tend to arrive not thinking you are going fast but are .There are a few nice touches like the seat cowl is a type of carbon ? Tyres are Bridgestones BT 0.16 and seem ok but only within the moderate pace of today .

Bike has venturesheild fitted so this should help if the finish is not up to Blade standard .

So only based on today's 200 miles I am very happy with the swop , without the goodies it perhaps stands me about 2k to change which gives me a new machine with Bembro brakes ( no ABS issues) Showa forks and suspension lightweight wheels 600cc handling 2 years warranty and of course I would have had to chip in about 7 k for a Zx10 or even more for the BM but I will be having the same fun .

No photos sorry the computer has packed in and I have a new one just need to unpack and get my finger out .I had the wheels power coated White so looking at some red wheel stripes ordered some Gillies VCR in black which will be fitted at the 600 mile service .

Once this is done I can then take it to the next level and although it won't have the mean grunt of the Blade my guess is there is more than enough in the pot so should be ok in the company of the usual suspects lol.

Above should help others read through it.

I rode Craig's 750 Gixer round from Oban on the coast road last Sunday - found it physically very small / cramped after the R1 but they go brilliantly - know what you mean about the induction roar - its pretty much same engine from 2006 on bikes, you need to keep them on song but they go like stink.

Price wise they tend to hold their money as they are well known bikes and unique as no other bike in its class - 675 Triumph closest I guess.

Dead reliable too - can take a high mileage with ease and still perform really well - trust me given number of times i've been passed at 160+ by the bloody things!

No pics Mike? You are as bad as the newbies. Get that PC unpacked, or maybe Barney could post some.

My wife commented that the Bike looked smaller than the Blade perhaps its the same length and height but just skinny .All I can do Al is give it a shot and at 2k its not life changing but it seems like its one of them bikes that is enjoyable to ride more than just going for a ride.
