Just trying to get an idea of how many people fit Slip On Exhausts, and if they then fit a Power Commander/Bazza or not ????

Fully appreciate that in order to make the most of the mods, a PC/Bazza and ideally a dyno set-up can achieve this, but how many people just run with the Slip On and have no fuelling issues.

Hi Jim I have had my share of bikes and always fit an end can .I don't fit power commanders or the like but I always feel that the bike runs a little rough without also yesterday when I was out I came to a bend and just eased the gas on an the bike lurched for a second which is not ideal .I will be having one fitted on the next bike and mapped .

TBH my vote was based on a CB1000R with a Leo Vince slip on and decat. Pre PC a little lumpy, you really notice the difference once one is fitted.
I remember being a leaned over position at quite low speed and the engine kinda chugged for a split second but enough for me to nearly drop the bike, PC sorted that out!

Only gained a few ponies at peak RPM but the silky throttle response and gobs of extra mid range torque was like WOW.

Got the PC fitted to my otherwise stock Blade, a little smoother down low especially as now the O2 is eliminated. Plan to add an auto tune shortly and maybe a yoshi if funds permit.

I fitted a yoshi slip on, and it runs a bit rough upto about 4000rpm, then it's fine. Going to fit a PCV and then see what it's like with the stock yoshi map from the PCV. Then depending what it runs like might have it on a dyno and have it mapped.

The thing with this bike is that when you remove the muffler, you are also removing the cat, and this will affect the fuelling more than if the cat were to remain, and you were just swapping an end can like on some other bikes.

Just my 2c I think the maps on the dynojet website are not too bad, works OK for me.

Fitted a PC to my previous bike (CBR600F). The bike wasn't too bad with just the end can, but as soon as I also fitted a K&N filter - it was clear it wasn't running right. The PC smoothed that right out with an existing map from the PC website for my end can.

Proves that fitting is slip on is good, but adding a PCV/Bazza makes it work as it was intended.

But.......... Some people just do it for the sound, some do it to get the most they can out of their bike.

Still good to hear that it's not a necessity though, and you can fit an aftermarket slip on without too many issues and "don't have" to fit a PCV/Bazza.
