I wouldn't remap it to maximum torque and power. Most people set the torque level somewhere reasonable or you could burn out the clutch. I think the clutch and turbo are fairly strong though and not known to easily go

Are you saying 165 bhp and 260 torque are too high ? i thought that was quite a sensible figure considering many people report more than the claimed 130 bhp figure in stock form

Finally managed to get a wee cheeky snap of the car and bike together.
That's only after spending 2 1/2 hours cleaning and polishing the bike after the east meets west ride out.
I used the Mcguires polish and wax and have to say that the carnuba wax is really good, though I rate autoglyms polish better.

    Anyway pic

That sounds good fez and I'd be looking at getting the map done for smooth delivery not peak power/torque as some do. My dad hasn't had an single issue since his map but some with the aggressive maps have eaten clutches etc but I would imagine there is also some spirited, youthful driving involved

Thats why I was looking at shark as they seem to have some of the smoothest maps around. Did your dad just get a generic map from a tuning company or was his car set up on a dyno ?

He got a custom remap on the dyno with it optimised for midrange. 260-265hp is about perfect for a power increase he said but once the torque goes over 300lbft the clutch is in trouble so that would want uprating if you go that far

Yea it's the 2L Turbo. It's no to bad to be honest.
Nowhere near the subaru's I've had but it's a lot better as an all rounder. Oh and I get 40mpg which I was surprised about.

Jabbasport are number one for custom diesel remapping. My dad had his cars done there, I had my S3 engine rebuilt and custom mapped there and my friend is having a Milltek system and remap there for his Cupra R diesel ;)
