Just in case anyone is thinking about buying a track bike, or wants a damaged repairable late model road bike, I will be selling a CBR600RR in the coming days. Its either a 2010 or 2011 bike; cant remember. It has approx 700 miles on the clock. Some of the fairings have scuff marks & the brake lever, bar end & one footpeg is missing but otherwise its fine. I suspect it will be cheap. It belonged to a friend who fell off shortly after passing his test; it hasnt been ridden since. I will post more details soon; its being dropped off at my house tonight. Just a heads up. This was its pre-accident condition:
Yes Col it's an ABS version. If ya put ya Glasses on you can see the perforated ABS rings on the wheels!
Yes, abs model. It is an official UK bike; brand new in 2011. At first glance, damage is very light. Will take pics tomorrow. This is a genuine sale on behalf of a good lad. It is not subject to an insurance claim & no finance is owing.
Don't know yet Col; I need to have a proper weigh up of the damage. The going rate for a minter with these miles is around £6k. It will go out to the best offer, either on here or eBay.
Ok I take it that the bike has 7000 miles on it and not 700 then? If thats the case then you are looking around the £4k mark depending on the actual full damage.
You should get decent money for it then if it only has 700 miles on it. When you get the chance mate and I understand it may be a while, stick up some pics for us to see the damage.
Okay fellas, some photos. The bike will ride with replacement brake levers & footpeg. The fairings are scuffed up but repairable, with the exception of the nose cone which will need replacement. One mirror is broken, the other is fine; both removed at present. Currently fitted with a double bubble screen & Akrapovic exhaust, but these will be replaced with the Oem items & made available separately. Mileage is 722. HPI clear. Will go on eBay next week if no interest here. Offers over £3500. PM for my mobile number if you want to talk.
That is very little damage mate, and it would cost very little to fix up. A second hand nose cone, side fairing(or respray) a few bits and pieces like a brake lever, footrest, indicator, and respray the swingarm.
